Overall it s a great app Reliable selections couldn t get any better easy to use etc My one issue is that being a paying customer the premium features are a little lacking The download feature is why I pay for the subscription specifically Downloading a radio is a really cool option but the playlist it downloads is so small that you hear repeat songs all the time You could create your own playlist but that s a ton of work I d love for it to completely refresh every couple days                 Voz T

The app has been good but that was before i switched phones Got a new phone and the notifications were showing at the lock screen for up to a week but now it doesnt show anymore I have literally done everything on my phone to ensure it shows but all futile I have to unlock my phone in order to scroll for a song pause the song or play the song its frustrating and tiring Fix it please         Nemi Tekenah

I decided to try Google I canceled my Pandora account as well because the first 2 to 3 weeks was great Then the my problem came alive Its tells me now that it loses connection and has to close No matter how many times I keep trying Sitting in the same spot and place I always have Nothing changed My vehicle is a 2019 f150 it also has had no new updates Right now I went back to Pandora That s sad too I enjoyed the freedom I was getting with google             Douglas Ruhstaller

It comes free with a YouTube subscription so that s cool it pretty much has all the music I m looking for Works great with the Home Mini HOWEVER the mobile app is trash I can t view sort my library in different ways for example List view of all Songs sorted by Year Artist Genre etc What s the point of a download option if it s still in the cloud No equalizer Customization is practically non existent         Paul T

The last month and a half songs will stop playing I will also attempt to play songs on a list and the nothing will play the song will continue to look as if it s loading and about to play then will move to the next song and the same issue will happen I m doing this while being connected to the internet or in 4g areas not in the middle of nowhere     Wade Montgomery

On my Galaxy S8 I ve recently been having an issue where playing an album will result in the album being added to the queue but I m frequently seeing the playing order or tracks being changed As I nearly always listen to full albums this is a significant problem in my use of the service This used to be the best music service but the app experience has gone downhill     Daniel Galligan

Loaded all my playlists online on my computer Didnt transer to phone Got a new phone playlists disappeared again Both old phone and new phones the 3 dots to open options are too close to the scroll bar So if I am looking at an A song I try to press in the drop down and end up in the L section Thought it was old phone but sill happening on brand new phone Too fristrating to continue using         Keffen J

It s a great concept But it falls short The app constantly stops all the time while playing I ve checked online and so far it seems that Google has taken the attitude that they are refusing to fix this issue There are so many complaints about this issue for the past several years And Google has done nothing to fix the problem So I don t recommend this app for anyone until Google makes it work right         Nicole Maschke

When I went from a Samsung S8 to an S10 the music app always starts with the random button turned on There needs to be a way to search our own play lists it makes it difficult when you have to go through your entire play list to find a particular song takes a long time and makes the music app not very user friendly This app has started to skip songs all together and won t play them at all I m thinking of taking my business to another music app because this app keeps getting worse FIX IT             Raeann Keller

Garbage app for Android Randomly scrolls through songs all of the time without me commanding it to And whenever it does this I can t stop it without forcibly stopping the app Googled the problem seems to be an issue with a lot of other users as well The selection of music is fine but the app performance is unacceptable Moving to Spotify bye     Robert Goss

I can use it really well at first But then 95 of my songs were suddenly gone It was still on my phone but it won t show up in this app It can t leave my mind peaceful so I really did something to bring back my songs so I can listen to it Eventually I was able to do so But now I don t know what to do anymore It s freaking gone again         Jhoanna Torres

Limited selection in I feel lucky mix This is only playing a very SMALL selection of songs plays songs from the same FEW albums I have hundreds of albums u0026 songs its playing the same ones over u0026 over Seems i have to spend time setting up a playlist rather than being able to rely on the i feel lucky mix algorithm Please fix your algorithm so it utilises songs from my ENTIRE library not just a few that were recently added It s not a great app so far         Mireille Morgan

I have been using this app since I got my first Android Nexus 5 and I m now up to a Pixel 2 You would think that after 6 years the app would evolve but it has barely changed at all Infact it feels like it has gotten worse The UI is super buggy and is a pain to manage Want to move a song that you just added to your playlist from the bottom towards the top As soon as you move it will snap back to the bottom without you realizing it This feels more like a 3rd party app than a Google app         BornSlyAsAFox

It saddens me to give such a low rating Music choices are diverse But app has applied country of origin to my account that is incorrect and cannot be changed which affects available stations and artists No response from Google and all troubleshooting suggestions and re installation has failed to correct VPN is present on 1 device but is disabled and has never connected to assigned country of origin         Steven Fekete

Great app to listen to music Can you please add play count Another important thing that required is there are no rating shown on songs when we look songs for purchase I see the song rating option available in iTunes before buying any song Hope you will improve the items which I mentioned above Thank you for building such a good app for listening music             John K

I ve been using this app for a while and I m about feed up Randomly skips songs or just shuts down the whole app whenever it wants They will remove or change songs in your library at random And what happened to the pause and skip buttons in the lock screen This is ridiculous from the people that made Google a clean and easy to use site but Google play music is not that Save your time get Spotify or Apple music you will be happier         Troy Knoche

The streaming of this app is reliable Other than that it sucks Playlists are awful to use manage Recommendations are more hit than miss When bands I do listen to a lot come out with something new it often takes a while if at all to let me know It thinks because you listened to two seconds of a song that you must like the artist and it starts recommending based on that Why not let me flag that I like an artist This app annoys me on a regular basis It really sucks     Mike Cheel

There are several issues that I have with this app One recurring issue that I come across is that it inconsistently does not play after I unpause it using my headphones Also when I press the play button for a specific selection or a specific selection itself sometimes it takes a while for it to load In some cases it times out In addition sometimes when I press play for the app on my dropdown menu the app disappears I have counters for these issues however I can do without them             Donovan Parker

I m here to complain about the extra 1 59 charged on our account when before it used to be just the 9 99 There has been several months we are charged extra and I can prove it on our bank statements I have already sent an email regarding the issue If nothing gets resolved we will find another carrier to play music No other App charges us extra other than what it says we are to be charged for in the description every month Why then are you charging us more than the 9 99     Fontes 123

It s OK But since last update everytime I download music to my SD card and update my Playlist files outside of the app I have to CLEAR DATA AND CACHE and reconfigure everything so it can see updated music and playlists Before the last update I just needed to restart the app and it would get the updates on my local files Please fix it so I can update my review             Victor Hugo Lopes

I love listening to music Which is why it s especially frustrating that this app has had a glitch where it removes an album from my library except for one random song and the only way to get it re added is either one song at a time or by removing and the album and adding it back which sometimes removes it from playlists it s on and I have to add it back to the playlists as well I have had to do this at least 50 different times 3 or 4 times with the same albums again and again None of this happens on the browser version but what does happen is there are songs in playlist on the browser version and not on the app version currently there are 932 in a playlist on the browser version and 780 on the same playlist in the app version                 Robert Schwalb

Hi all I ve happily been a Google Play user listener for year s I have 2 complaints When I scroll down to choose a playlist to file a song under it doesn t give me a chance No matter where I m at in my list beg mid or end it ll take me back to the beginning of my list again It s impossible to log my song It ll do this sometimes a 1 2 doz time s in a row it does this on all my devices New as well Galaxy 8 an Gal tab 4 A Google rep tried it and had the same prob this week             shari golden

Tired of an app that exists only to push me into subscribing to a service instead of letting me buy the music I want When I search for an artist ESPECIALLY one whose music I ALREADY own I expect to find that ARTIST instead it just gives me radio stations and videos Ditto songs If I search for a song I want to find that song first and then maybe consider a station for similar music Instead I don t even get the chance I m moving my music library u0026 future purchases off Google     David Golden

What No repeat button Why did they not include a feature that s been on every music player in the last 35 years Well I know the answer if people subscribe to their service then they can pay out less money for people repeating expensive songs But why not let me repeat songs that I bought and downloaded I guess I know the answer to that too it s to make it less obvious what they re doing I know they re just trying to make more money but they re doing going to make money from me     Joseph Dewey

I just started using this app I use it all the time now especially to listen to podcasts I enjoy It is simple to use I m not a very tech inclined person so if I can figure it out easily then anyone can It s free and every podcast I have searched for I have been able to find Sometimes if I type the name of the podcast in I can t find it but if I use the microphone and speak the name of it always pops up I thought I was going to have to pay for an app like patreon ect then I discovered this                     stormy ra

Play Music sets the minimum standard for music player apps on android It s decent overall it does exactly what you expect it to do so long as it isn t a crazy 32 bit hF WAV Suggestion If you ve got a lot of albums prepare to do A LOT of scrolling We need to be given an option to scale album art to view more or less albums at once             Sean Luzzi

App does not work very well when you have a weak cellular data connection My cell signal at work is very weak and I don t have wifi available I download my music to my device and set the mode to downloaded music only My first issue is that the toggling of this option does not work well and I usually have to set the phone to airplane mode for the app to take this option i usually set download only and leave the menu and the option switches back to cellular data mode automatically Once I get it in download mode I select music I have downloaded to play and the circle just spins and spins and spins which makes me think its streaming this music i have downloaded locally while the app is in download only mode While the circle is spinning I can set airplane mode on my phone and it starts playing         Tim K

yesterday morning I noticed that my GPMusic account was cancelled not sure as to why it was but it was I re subscribed to the service and proceeded on with my day used youtube with no ads no issues This morning my music subscription is still active however now I don t have access to YouTube Red Premium anymore and now there is a new subscription plan for YouTube premium costing 17 99     Xtopher Ruckus

I would love to rate higher however i have twice in the last 5 months lost over 150 album downloads and customer service tech support was not helpful at all There was no resolution to this matter and I have had to re download each time So if this would not be a terrible inconvenience for you than it would be 5 star as the price of 11 00 a month is very reasonable However I am still going to use the app and hope this does not happen again Don t count on support though             Shawn Young

Unable to play locally stored music I had been using this app to play music from my SD card worked great Never subscribed to anything Got a new phone Now every page is just a prompt to subscribe No option to select the SD card Google tech couldn t figure out a way either Other apps work fine with my music collection on SD     Tom R

Worst app Every other app of Google I use is up to date and is very useful but this is the worst of all There are many flaws Cover arts of songs are interchanged every single which isn t part of any album is included in some made up album Unknown album name of two or more artists are combined into one name and many more I have tons of suggestions to make this app simpler to use     Devansh Bhuptani

Offline songs not available right away even though I downloaded them Individual songs cannot be downloaded with one touch instead yiu have to add them to your library then go to your library look through the songs and finally download them Not all albums or songs are available In addition thumbnail images are not transferred to car stereo even though google is the stock music app for Pixel The reason for 3 stars the UI is way better than the competition much more neat and organized             Juan C.

I tried giving this app a try since I have Google linked to everything including my smart home I just can t get over how the interface is It looks old and out dated I want to switch from Spotify but can t because Spotify s is so much more aesthetic and pleasing to navigate through Play Music on the other hand just has a terrible name terrible navigation I hate that I can t erase my history of stations that I no longer listen to or want to see It s by far the worst streaming app I ve used         Kavy

They take your money tell you to upgrade every single time that you log in when you want to add a song if it s not from their library they will see you have too many devices I have 2 devices I use my phone and my computer each of them are on there at least 5 times that s over 10 when I take them off I can only take off a certain amount of the duplicate and and they say I took off too many You re in a tight spot this company knows your blood type they know your irises they need to be broken     Craig Brown

Why can t I move my downloaded music when I m on premium like I was able to do few years ago Why do I have to STILL buy the music while subscribed to premium None of this is right for sure I m going through the 30 days and un subscribing because y all owe it to your premium users This is ridiculous if I m willing to pay 10 month I should be able to keep and move my music around in my files I really should one star y all but y all used to be loyal now y all got hidden fees on the music         T.
