The app requires you to register or login which needs an internet connection So much for local network without wifi or cellular service So people stuck in natural disasters and state communication bans have to somehow predict the events and keep firechat installed and ready just in case disaster strikes     Owais Lone

does not work as expected or advertised was expecting this to connect to other firechat user using the wifi or bluetooth without a cellular or other internet connection connect device to device as nodes it does not not android to iPhone or iPhone to iPhone all phone warn that there is no internet connection when turned on airplane mode with wifi and bluetooth on these are with already connected phones in an established private chat room too bad     catch 22

The truth is this app has a great concept but needs work with compatibility We used it on a cruise ship this past week to piggyback off the ship s wifi without paying for a package It worked kinda We could send and receive messages sometimes but they were generally delayed I noticed the app was also turning off wifi at times removing the possibility to get messages until within bluetooth range defeating the need Like I said good concept but needs some work Will reinstall if issues are fixed             Tim

Ok Great app with ONE HUGE FLAW how will people check their email u0026 sign up during a disaster with no internet etc I mean that s just funny it s so dumb You MUST provide some sort of offline registration for this to ever be useful in an emergency situation Right now it s just high school kids bypassing WiFi locks to text each other in class LOL Come on fix this Another app I m deciding about called Briar u0026 another called Signal offline messenger are good examples of how to do the initial setup for an account unless I m missing something otherwise this is a FABULOUS APP                 Austin Cates

So the screenshots that they have up for this app is out of date so that makes it nice when you are trying to navigate it It seems the nearby feature you know the only reason anyone is interested in this app has been removed our it s just hidden because the screenshots the things you use to help because the app are like I said our of date If you are going to release an update that changes the UI how about updating the thing people go to look at as reference if the apps functionality Of course it shouldn t come to a surprise to anyone that the first global room that popped up for me was a room called Gripes     Eric Yung

terrible app my phone battery was full the night I installed this found my phone dead the next morning the app is a battery suck the interface is not intuitive i have no idea how to add people or start rooms also the app forces you into search mode the moment you open it so you can never see the bottom half of the screen uninstalled this real fast     Heidi Stewart
