Update 16 August 2018 ads are now blocking parts of the news stories Uninstalled for good Will cancel subscription There are way too many ads for a paid subscription I like to scan the news stories but I keep getting the stupid pizza hut ads the beach ad and a couple other constantly in the feed I can take a couple ads but seeing the same ad in my face 20 to 30 times in a course of 10 minutes scrolling through the stories if to much Use Google or the ap for your news     Marc Ennis

This app has gone through A LOT of changes over the years but I must say the current version is superb and they continually work on making it even better Bravo Update Uninstalled and reinstalled the app as I have done many times over the years when it gets slow Now it will not open at all Update Uninstalled and reinstalled a couple more times and now it s working No feedback from company during several days of failure to open so must go down to 4 stars BUT I m delighted to have it back                 Amy Lucie

I subscribe to the paper and I used to like this app because it was easier to see all the latest headlines on the app than on the OS website plus the OS website annoyingly launches videos automatically on many stories But lately I have grown frustrated with the app Often when I open it it seems to get stuck When I get email news alerts and click the links my phone opens the app but can never find the right story The ads are really annoying and intrusive given that I ve paid for a subscription I think the OS could do better The NYT has an excellent app and the WaPo app isn t bad either The NYT app even displays reader comments which the OS app has never done         Beth Young
