The Philadelphia Inquirer has been a vibrant voice for the city and the region since 1829, and by making our replica edition available on the Android phone and tablets we`re continuing to deliver you the ...

I have to continue to sign in It doesn t remember my credentials and automatically sign you in When your internet connection changes it goes offline and you have to restart the app to get back online There is no way to refresh Lastly navigation is poor When you are reading in the digital text viewer you cannot use the back button or you get sent out of the app You must close the window using the x at the top which is inconvenient for one hand operation I like the digital print tho         Matthew Williams
Replica App on Android phone takes forever to load and sometimes not at all Not very professional IOS app also not the best Sometimes does not work     Roman Korobij
doesn t work anymore this is my backup when the web version has problems today it won t let me sign in it goes into a loop     Henry Lazarus
Why must I log in every time It takes several minutes after entering id pw to log in and then the pages are non resposive What a waste     Paul Miles
Zoom has been affected since app update can t zoom in as much as before     Jean Nessen
Doesn t let me log in anymore Just keeps spinning     Brad Miller
Had to un and reinstall but now works as it should                 Dan Greenberg
Doesn t always work         John Landino
I want to read the Inquirer very much but this on line app is terrible It is inflexible and it provides a poor search engine When on my smartphone it often goes to a blank page and makes further use impossible I have read this paper for over 50 years but to continue is very discouraging One cannot come close to the excellent NYTimes on line use Very frustrating     Donald Joseph
This app is the worst Requires login each time very unreliable can t resize pages back button doesn t work user interface makes no sense Every other news site and newspaper has a usable app No wonder this once great newspaper is turning to garbage I m sure you will do nothing to respond to this concern nor the multitude of other 1 star ratings that users have given     Ted Levy
It seemed to be less crashy at first but its been crashing at times now still a very clumsy slow app With the new one there seems to be no way to automatically download issues for offline Also once downloaded there is no way to delete old issues short of deleting the app data             Neither worse nor better Paul Matz
I loved the older app on my Android I could download the paper and read it on the train without using data New version has too many problems i have to sign in again when it opens it doesn t download offline on the Android and when it does on IOS it s a PDF not the dynamic view of before it freezes after viewing an article and has to be restarted Please bring back the older version         New update not as good as the old Marissa Bluestine
No need to wait for download before reading and everything is large enough to read without changing the size even the comics Very stable Has tabs to move between sections and you can choose articles from a list or page view Much better than Press Reader                     Easy and readable Kenneth Wissler
Do not bother with this app on Android If you need a newspaper on your Android device and you want to be able to access it offline look elsewhere PNI is clueless and there do not appear to be any plans to make the app viable on Android Ipad version works As for me I m likely to cancel my Inquirer subscription altogether at this point after 6 years of struggling with institutionalized mediocrity going all the way back to their first tablet more than 5 years ago     A Google user
When it works it s actually a very nice app I saw all of the bad reviews and but have it a try For the first few months I couldn t understand what all the complaints were about but now I m having the same problems It no longer saves my login I have to login repeatedly and restart the app multiple times before it starts working only to be logged out again the next day and start all over It s essentially useless         John Petrini
This app has been retired and can no longer be used to access the inquirer Pity because it worked well The new web app is terrible I don t believe it was written for tablet users You must do a lot of pinching and slow scrolling to read articles Also ads have been added even though the inquirer is a fee service     Used to be good Michael Tontoni
This app is laggy ignores the back button resizes pages with no regard for your screen size really a mess Another thing it does if you go to another app and return the app usually needs to be restarted as there s an all white screen I hope that they replace this app I fear for the future of the Inky if they don t fix this app Any growth in readers and subscribers will be in digital access Update IMO the paper can only be read in the replica mode Still not great but usable in this way             A Google user
This app used to be ok but started to get temperamental It was requiring repeated login stalling and design was clumsy Developer apparently totally off line Past week or two it s totally dead It says it is not optimized for my Nexus 7 tablet although it had worked in past Good luck         Mark Vizer
1 I am still trying to figure out which app the Phildelphia Inquirer was going to discontinue on April 28 2014 This new app was supposed to be the new improved replica edition 2 It has two serious problems a You cannot zoom at all Not possible b It continually wakes up my tablet and runs down the battery Apparently Google Play has to run continuously for this app to work no idea why 3 Press Reader is vastly more preferable It can ZOOM and it does not run when I don t need it to     Not an improvement N Lee Kathan
Very balky with frequent freezes Download ability is poor This version is far worse than its predecessor which wasn t very good either Great newspaper lousy app     Poor A Google user
Won t keep me logged in to my account Have to log in and it won t allow me to use LastPass to auto log in Takes multiple tries to log in Have open and close app multiple times to get it to work Very frustrating         Brian J. McDonald
Must sign in each time Download for offline use does not work Great potential terrible execution More than two years of terrible reviews without any attempt to correct the problems Shameful     Worst App Ever Howard Wishnoff
Older version was so much better Suggest readers use Web version alot less problems than this so called app     You guys ruined this app Peter Carey
I cannot dismiss the red close bar no matter what It always comes back Latest update is fundamentally broken A shame     Horrible Update Rob Hamilton
Harder to use than previous version dynamic view seems useless Don t like replica view If the Inky wants people to read on a digital platform they need a much better app     Worse that the previous version Bob Cosgrove
It often doesn t load or takes long time to load When power goes off on tablet while in article it comes back up with a blank screen with the word close at top forcing me to close out of app go back in and navigate back to same article Downloading to PDF not working at all and previous method allowed parts already viewed to be seen off line without downloading full paper More difficult to navigate to sections and see as paper to read full articles than before now have to log in with account and password daily and app flashes to login screen everytime it is powered back on Some parts of update are nice but not enough to overcome huge frustration with paper not loading every time I power back on Running on Samsung Tab S     Terrible on latest version Howard Zwick
This is a really poor app The complaints here by others is dead on When it works it can be useful but often it doesn t work     Richard Bernat
Can t load paper sends you to broken link Web verision of paper is clunky Too bad it was good when it worked     No longer works Mark Rosati
When you download the paper for offline use you only get about the first 20 22 pages for offline viewing The remaining pages are blank I reported the problem to the Inquirer 4 times in the last 2 months but no fix has been forthcoming     Not working with Android 5 0 Raymond Ciarrocchi
Navigation is pretty clunky although the Digest feature is nice for skimming I love the Inky but the PressReader app even with its occasional crashes provides a better user experience             A Google user
This app does not seem to be compatible with Android I m ready to stop my subscription with the Inquirer because some days I cannot even open the application please inquire fix this app     Please create a new app this one is terrible Susan Creevey
A piece of garbage It insists on logging you out every few days and then the login hangs for ever Then you have to close the app and try again Sometimes it fails repeatedly until hours later     K.S. Bhaskar
Content is good OK on a tablet Useless on a phone Biggest problem is usability When you have zoomed in on an article the back button close the app it doesn t go back         Eh ok Steven W
I only use the app when I absolutely have no other choice Worst newspaper app I ve ever seen         Lew Bryson
I m getting used to this I like the digest feature and the original vs dynamic view is good I am missing the pinch zoom though             I can t read blank pages Michael Dempsey
Very inconsistent Very frustrating Haven t been able to open for days You should be ashamed     A Google user
Besides a very touchy user interface you must leave your tablet on if want to read a downloaded issue and enter an area without WIFI USELESS FEATURE     Can t download paper for later use after turning off Jay Moyer
This app is as reliable as their home delivery service spotty at best Very bad loading does not recognize log ins Very bad app     Jim G
Slow responsiveness sometimes Requires sign in each day Must restart when temporarily leaving app for another application or my tablet times out When it restarts it opens on the first page not the last page you were reading Took me maybe 50 percent longer to read the paper than with prior version of the app Very frustrating         New version has major problems Thom May
I had high hopes that the new viewer Olive Dynamic Newsstand would solve the problems I experienced with the prior version Alas it was not to be so This one has new features that I would love if they worked consistently like swipe to change the page and pinch zoom However the reader constantly freezes usually ten or more times just getting through one day s edition To re start I usually have to close and re open the app sometimes have to sign in again and other times must uninstall and reinstall the app Today even that is not working After four tries I give up and am wondering why I don t just watch the news on tv or get it from Web feeds like everyone else     You re killing me with this new reader A Google user
