I have had this for many years now and I do not regret purchasing this one bit It is absolutely essential and useful for daily use You got words phrases idioms and even slangs in this dictionary used by locals I have had certain times where friends and colleagues would not be able to translate a word for me in English so I had them pronounce the word s using the mic feature in the app and not surprisingly the app manages to find exactly what they are trying to translate If that does not work they can use the in app handwriting feature It will detect the written words and tell you the romanizations of said word s and for some words even the steps for how it is written and you can even listen to how it is pronounced I mean it cannot get more convenient than this                     Justin Dimla

I use this dictionary mainly to check Cantonese pinyin jyutping I could do it online but it takes too long and too much ads I am very happy with this app The monitor clipboard function is good as I can copy and paste characters I don t know how to say and I can look it up with the apps I am a native Cantonese speaker but I still don t know how to say many words Again it is a great apps                 Hi Auntie

To learn cantonese i have been looking for so many apps but to be honest to me this is the best app only i have only suggestion that each words that we search if u could give a short sentence in jyutping is best as i could see not all words been provide with a sentence i mean each word got their sample phrases tq very much                     paper jack

Completely indispensible in learning and referencing Cantonese This app is a big reason that I switched from iOS to Android as iOS has boatloads of Mandarin apps but very little of this calibre for Cantonese I love that this uses CantoDict as its data source as most everything else I ve found mixes it in with Mandarin or uses a primarily Mandarin data source I love being able to dig down into individual characters and hear them pronounced just by tapping them not to mention speech to text and the ability to look up unknown characters by drawing them with my finger I appreciate being able to choose between Jyutping which I prefer and Yale which I find confusing but is sometimes used in Cantonese classes and the bonus of being able to use the app completely offline great for learning on long flights to from HK Well worth its cost                     Bill Chan
