Want to use it but it kept telling me that my private SSH key is in the wrong format I had copied it directly from my computer following github s instructions to creating an SSH key Please help I had heard good things about this app but have no chance to use it     kevan png

It did not show existing git repositories on local storage even if it s default directory is set to the repositories parent directory There is no UI to explicitly open them The tool look good but it is unusable in my case     Laurent Simon

Works better than any other Android client for Git I ve used Only problem is it didn t accept any private key generated with macOS A key generated with Linux worked right away An explanation of which keys are supported and what exact parameters to use to generate them would be nice                     T N

It works in that it can clone a repo and switch branches but that s about it It s painfully slow has somewhat of an unintuitive UI and being able to commit any changes seems to take a bit of luck The app will recognize a change has been made blue circle with blue dot but whether or not the commit icon shows up is a totally different story On top of all of that this app hasn t seen an update in nearly a year even though it really needs some work This seems to be par for the course because it was a long time before we even got this update I had been watching it for a while before buying it because it was even buggier then Sadly there aren t many alternatives and a lot of them don t see updates often either but at least they re free         Dan

excellent I m very surprised about the ratings especially because there s no other app out there that has the ability to push pull clone tag etc as well as this app Usually I init the repo first on github gitlab then clone it using this app From there I ve found it incredibly easy to add and commit changes add tags etc The only downside is that you can t add all files dirs But a workaround do add in termux and it updates in this app Great app very happy with it you will be too                     Jared

Great app functionality Does all the git actions I wanted with local storage I spent some time figuring out connecting to github and trying out the different menus But through exploring all the UI I found all the git actions I need to edit my gatsby static site on the go Syncing down a Github Repo Use your browser to view the github repo then use the BROWSER share to another app to send it to Pocket Git like sending a website from your browser to a text message Pocket Git should be one of the shareable app options and will fill in repo sections It did take me a good amount of time to get my auth working so here s my solution in hopes it helps someone else I have 2FA enabled on my github account and I think that blocks the regular password authentication flow I wasn t able to get private key authorization to accept the id rsa token I generated on my laptop I used a cloud service to move the file locally onto my OnePlus 6T SSH key worked in the end but I had to go through the same token generation migration steps again on my laptop but instead of adding the SSH key to my github account go to Settings u003e Deploy Key section of the repo and add it there                     Shehbaz Sherwani

At first blush Pocket Git appears to lack basic git functionality Reviewing HELP gasp reveals the clean UI is supported by subtle but intuitive gestures Additionally the UI smoothly supports launching and debugging in dcoder This is a nice tool                     Oliver Graves

Works somewhat but the performance is horrific even on a relatively new 8 core platform Still waiting to clone a medium sized repo of a few hundred or maybe thousand commits total size of under 100 MiB Remote has been counting objects for several hours now but same repository was cloned within 30 seconds on a PC on the same DSL line Too late for refund as I walked away and forgot I recommend to stick to a PC or web interface Other git apps for Android seem to be even worse     Sauer Braten

So far I like it I had lots of trouble cloning my first repository It turns out the app although it had file editing permissions couldn t make the storage folder Once I made it manually it worked well Thing I like the most about the app I can edit files in the app of my choice It doesn t force me to use some sort of internal editor                 Luke Newmeyer
