If you want to poll the sensors from your phone accelerometer AND have it keep working with the screen off this is the only app of the 20 or so i tried that works Reports actual times data was polled as well and has configurable sampling intervals though these can be set to go faster than the sensors themselves update If you are doing any science projects with accelerometers this is the perfect app to use as a trial setup you can get good data out of any reasonable modern phone and have your methodology worked out before or depending on your needs instead of paying for an expensive custom system                     A Google user

Super useful app it s like having a tricorder in your phone But even more important is the correct way he implemented ads Yes there are ads but there s an easy option to pay a small fee to remove them I have nothing against devs making money off their product And I wish more would offer up this option I find ads quite annoying and will almost always rather pay a sum to have them removed                     Correct advert integration PTNLemay

After much searching I found this app which meets all of my needs for logging sensor data The only downside sort of nitpicking is that there is not separate time stamp for GPS which has a unique timing from the IMU This causes some issues with taking derivatives                     Best IMU GPS logger Mike McDermott

I used this app to collect accelerometer data and I think this is quite good except freezes I set the frequency to 20hz 0 05 sec and a taller guy was asked to carry the smartphone to collect accelerometer data But the data stored while he was walking had same x y and z values for some time It might be caused by some extreme values or the cheap 40 smartphone I guess So I am not sure I can use this for my research and trying to figure out what the exact problem is             Accelerometer data freezes Kangjae Lee

Is there a way to record when the GPS data is updated I want to collect data from accel gyro and gps I know I can set sampling to about 100 hz for the accel and gyro but GPS only updates at 1 hz If I set app to sample at 100 hz is it possible to know when the app is showing a new sample from GPS                     Great app One question Savari Inc

Convenient display of a the various sensors I noted while experimenting though that on my device the ambient temperature and battery temperature are showing early the same value and that battery values do not seen to output to CSV             Logan Wahler
