The UK Aerial Alignment is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. Waste of time Gives completely numerous directions dependent where you stand It has literally got me going in circles One minute it is suggesting one direction The next another 90 degrees different No consistency It has maintained the same transmitter but does not know its direction consistently Five different directions

Use it all the time when traveling in my Motorhome Simple and first class Dont forget to calibrate the compass in your phone by waving it about your head outside first as well as use it outside Motorhome essential

I loaded the app up and was surprised to see the suggestion was the opposite direction to all the other ariel in the neighbourhood I installed it as suggested tested the strength it was correct The other ariel must have been installed before the upgrade to one of the local transmitter Great app Worked a Treat

Good but where is the Reigate transmitter Ok works well

Best free app and as good as any compass app can be Doesnt have the new groupings the LTE 4G band now uses the top of the old TV band and old aerial groupings have been replaced Check the CAI website for up to date info or call your local installer or you may end up with 4G related issues Close enough for alignment

Excellent bit of kit Im on a narrowboat so use this daily Worked well first time out of the box Just what was wanted

ideal piece of kit ive already left one review and it wasnt good but now ive got this app working ive got to give it a 5 i will be using it regularly as a aerial installer its not a signal strength meter but it works in 98 of cases without a issue it basically gives you the direction of your transmitter as the crow flies aerial installer

Its Ok but It looks terrible could do with a complete UI upheaval give it some style colour and decent decals In two words Skin it A black theme would look nice Its Ok but

From 88 channels to 190 after using this app so simple to use Done the job

If I open the app on both my mobile and my tablet they both show the same details local transmitter Winter Hill the bearing distance etc are the same and the maps show the same position but the pointer on each device point in totally different directions so not so good unless someone knows how to correct it Pointer not consistent

I thought first of all it was wrong so alterd my arial just to try found out aerial is far better Well worth a try especially its free Good

Worked a treat when I was calling around the loft we now have full signal strength and quality Was able to choose transmitter easily Fantastic

I downloaded the app and it was a little erratic on the calibration regarding phone position chris swiftly got back to me which was really nice and instructed me towards the calibration process and now this app works on absolute dream fully recommend it and thank you again chris Really works well

This is very effective on the whole great if you are moving to an area where the transmitter is unknown to you ie for caravanning etc As a pointer it is very good but the strength meter is quite innacurate Also not up to date with transmitter polarities etc but as a diy app very helpful Good app

Just downloaded checked against my house aerial It was spot on Now need to use when next away in my van Seems very easy to use TV aerial aligner

Doesnt work with lollipop upgrade Used to love this app but after upgrading to android 5 the compass doesnt work at all Doesnt work with lollipop upgrade

Lined the phone up against the new aerial that I was fitting in my loft Made the adjustment until the graphic lined up Retuned the BT YouView box and bingo freeview channels appeared where before there had been none Did the job

Its ok As a hgv driver I use this app to locate my digi tv signal but noticed that the direction finder is a bit erratic even when standing outside with no magnetic influence A tweak or two to the app phone g sensor interface would make it a perfect 5 star app Could be better

This app is great for a quick and easy alignment Its not accurate enough to be perfect but thats more due to the accuracy of the phone sensors rather than the app itself All in all a great app that does exactly what it says Great App

Never written a review before as they always never exactly do what I want THIS DOES and helped me get perfect reception with a cheap outdoor Arial Does Exactly What It Says

Perfect tool which achieved in only 5 minutes what a professional aerial installation company were unable to achieve despite 2 separate attempts Perfect

Everytime the app opens from being closed completely the aerial points in a different direction Ended up just looking at the neighbors aerial A few issues

Found the best signal for our aerial as promised Easy to use and accurate Very good Worked well

This app lists my local transmitter Sandy Heath as an A Group transmitter but it is in fact a K Group one Also the direction finder doesnt work consistently Inconsistent direction and wrong aerial group

I have yet to install a replacement ariel and this app will be very useful as I can ensure that my new installation will be facing the right way The best apps for me are the simple ones That is not to say that this is simple it is well featured This just became my favourite app so far this year Top marks and thank you for devising such a good practical app Kevin It just works

Had already installed my working aerials by theoretical guesswork directional research neighbours directions Then I found the app which is a superb concept However I was dissapointed that accuracy seemed to vary considerably depending on how I held my handset Almost by as much as 20 degrees which makes this nothing more than a coarse guide Anti guesswork

It works Its simple What more can I say Thank you BRILLIANT

Have found this to be solid for all the northern locations Easier than a map and compass oO Since digi switch over Bilsdale is group K not A and the menu button appears to do nowtnexus7 2013 but do nothing to diminish the worth of the app thanks Enables exactly what it says

Installed to have a look Will work for occasional use by campers etc but its missing some local transmitters and channel information is incorrect on others Should get your aerial pointing in right direction most of the time Pro Aerial installer
