Ivan Gorinov , the publisher behind many Android apps (Vertical Speed Indicator ,Audio Spectrum ,Sensitive Altimeter), brings Sensitive Altimeter with a number of new features along with the usual bug fixes. Sensitive Altimeter apps has been update to version 1.19 with several major changes and improvements. Apps release that improves performance, provides several new options.

If you are Android owner,you now can download Sensitive Altimeter for free from Google Play. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.19 has been released on 2014-11-26. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Really useful Biggest issue is picking up weather data so I often find it useful to set a known altitude or pressure before beginning a hike Great Little App oliver schick

I ve used this app since I had the Nexus 4 then the Nexus 5 and now I m still using it on my LG G4 I love it it s the best app out there for barometric altitude readings Download the variometer from this developer as well it s a great complement to this app Awesome app Simon Vega

Great update Nice to see digital readout on the same screen as the analogue readout One great addition please would be a button on the screen to reset the altitude to zero so that we can use this app to calculate relative height That would be great Great Thanks for the updates Andrew A

The app looked great at first but once I adjusted it manually there was no way to get it back to reading automatic Also I could not figure out how to change it to a digital readout like the screen shots indicate is possible Potential is there edit I discovered you also need to download the weather station app to obtain proper readings That corrected it Still not sure what barometric pressure readings have to do with altimeter readings but doesn t mean it can t work Looked good at first E Todd

When I couldn t find the app s settings button on my Galaxy S5 I wrote and got a quick reply from the author Open the app settings with a long press of the multitasking button Sensitive Altimeter is much more accurate for altitude than the GPS based reading in Google My Tracks app On S5 open app settings with a long press of the multitasking button Frank Harris

Great app Simple as advertised Auto station correct wasn t working Saw a note on initial install of how to address this NOAA station issues but could not get back to find that patch fix Anyway I will figure it out and it is a great app Simple Altimeter Gregory Melia

This works well on my Samsung GS3 I use this for aviation as well as outdoor recreation It would be nice to know the density altitude as well but the app is already great as is Awesome altimeter app Chip Berniard

Only dial screen can be seen You can change pressure seatings pressure unit and station needed to get the information that has to be compared with your sensor You can press anywhere else on the screen as long as you want nothing happens or change Except you can move the dials around It was the same after reinstalling Petre Gantea

Yesterday I installed Sensitive Altimeter Everything in the app looked good but a key feature was missing Over the past few years when using my Thommen altimeter I would calibrate the unit at the trailhead and periodically check the displayed elevation against the elevation at a known location trail junction summit etc If atmospheric pressure had changed the displayed elevation wouldnu2019t agree with the known elevation but itu2019s very easy to recalibrate The ability to directly input a known eleva Great Support

Does what it says Very handy to be able to set the pressure as well as receiving qnh from the major airports Keep in mind though that it will read cabin pressure not outside static pressure so will slightly overread Awesome

This is the only consistently accurate altimeter Ive found thanks to the correction factor needed to correct the barometer in my S4 as well as the airport codes to keep up with sea level pressure changes Only gripe is the difficulty in changing between screen options Why not just show the digital altitude readout beside the dial Oh and what is the striped part for Very Good

This altimeter is simply the best there is out there But it would be magnificent if there was a facility to show a digital readout in a small box like they do in real aircraft because when youre driving it takes a longer time to accurately see your height when its analogue Just need to add a digital box to the analogue so we can see both Great Would be excellent with digital too

IF YOUR PHONE HASNT GOT A BAROMETRIC PRESSURE SENSOR THIS WONT WORK Does what it says without messing about Phone needs a barometric pressure sensor to work but it is much more accurate than GPS Was pleasantly surprised by the airport code functionality Very pleased

A slightly purist view of a small aircraft barometric altimeter The ability to calibrate for current weather conditions using airport barometric data at the touch of a button is simple and smart and effective Provides better altitude accuracy than GPS so pretty good for hill walking as well as for aviators On the wishlist for me if the developer wants to expand the audience would be the addition of a digital altitude readout and a dropdown to store a selection of those cryptic airport METAR references Definitely to be recommended for those with a barometric sensor An excellent little app Works fine on SGS3
