I love the app for its functionality and general upkeep from the author but the price for a licence is a little hard to swallow given similar apps provide the same features for a few dollars If youre going to use the features of this app professionally or use it a lot then I highly recommend dropping the cash but otherwise if its just to play around with once or twice enjoy the unregistered version and then move on to one of the others           Pro Solid App Cons Price

I only shoot in RAW mode as well but I cannot even test the software without an 48 licenseUmmm no I dont think soupdate Helicon says to test with camera in jpeg mode but I prefer to test with my actual camera settings

Doesnt work I am using a canon t3i or 600d and a galaxy s4 I have an otg mini usb cable plugged into the camera and I have connected the chargingmicro usb cable into my phone I connect the usb male and female and it still wont connect with my camera The camera is turned on Does magic lantern stop it from working        Doesnt work

This app is very useful however the results can vary At times it works as designed on my Canon 5D Mark II and Nexus 7 tablet In some cases it put my camera and tablet in a state where I had to reboot both of them In another scenario the app prevented my camera from taking raw files even though it was set to do so I was especially mortified to find that this had happened Its not worth paying for so I would stick with the free version I would also not recommend using this app in critical situations such as a shoot for a client By the way we are using the registered version of the app           Not QUITE ready for primetime

Used the app very successfully on my Nexus 5 using USB otg and Nikon D7100 Id like to use the app with a tablet so I have a bigger live view preview and my choice would be an Asus Memo pad 8 model ME181c but I dont know if the tablet supports USB otg Can you advise please as the tablet is ideal for my purposes in every respect I just cant find out about the USB otg support Great app just this uncertainty Many thanks Update I emailed the support people who replied in less than an hour                 Works fine on Nexus 5 but

Please add an option to view and selectively download images from the camera to the phone via wifi Nikon WMU cant download multiple images at their native resolution Edit totally doesnt work under android 5     feature request

Im having issues with it not detecting the camera at all now Ive reinstalled it and when the camera tells me to open the app I open the helicon one yet never detects my camera yet my phone is synced w my camera I can close I dont have this problem with the EOS Remote app but like the intervalometer on this also wish you could change the Picture Style and Shooting mode such as 2 sec delay Please fix this as I want to use this Also experience much more lag in this app and longer manual focusing times        Used to work for me

Ive purchased a very expensive registration key only to find that it doesnt accept it after I upgrade my phone to a more recent firmware All other play store apps support this but this one does not If they dont fix their licensing policy it is worthless to spend your money     Registration key not working

Extremely high quality application that delivers on its promises I have a lot to learn about what it can do but everything Ive tried so far works great It seems to even work in Automatic Camera mode for me I bought other similar android apps for smartphonecamera support and most dont work or just disconnect the USB instantly Given the lack of WiFi and GPS on most affordable Canons this app helps fill that gap with USB support and GPS from your smartphone GPS is turned off by default so if you want that feature be sure to enable itGiven the complexity of the number of cameras and phones in the world its a little unfair to rate this app low if it doesnt work for you unless you were particularly told it was compatible since it has a free trial Addendum I bought the new T6s as far as I know this camera and the T6i arent supported yet but lets hope so soon

I test it with my d700 d610 and d300s no working Im using an sgn3 with a Samsung USB and Samsung adapter I have use this with some other apps and work just fine This never conect and when it does for a few seconds I cant change anything and I cant set my iso oh unfortunately the app have stop and also change the sett6for my camera without have made any change in the few seconds it works good that I know how to use and now my camera setting so I can change     Not good

Doesnt support my camera This would be a great app if it supported a few more DSLRs like my Canon Rebel XT Sure its old but it works and i shouldnt feel like Im being forced to upgrade by everyone I dont need live view or all the fancy stuff but being able to have an EOS Utility like app on my phonetablet would be fantastic     Doesnt support my camera

Doesnt work I wanted to try this app to help with auto focus motor noise in videos but it just doesnt work I tried this app on both of my phones and cameras both are supported but it never connected I have all the adapters needed but it still did nothing I wish this would work but sadly I cannot recommend this app     Doesnt work

Wont work and wont quit Connected my Galaxy Tab 2 to my Canon 60 D Not only will the app not recognize the camera but even if I exit it the icon will remain in my task bar as if its still open and running I gave it a 2nd star because theres a chance that its my tablets fault that it wont connect as it wont charge while on so the same connection issue may be in play here        Wont work and wont quit

but the app is for free no ads as far as I remember and the functionality is great Many useful and highly customizable features                 LV is little laggy

Helicon Remote seems to have recently broken Im assuming after an update of some kind Camera is canon 1000D used to work very well now throws an error seems to show a battery fault icon wont connect Tried 2 different fully charged batteries and 2 different cameras same model checked USB good another remote app works fine same error on both Nexus 7 and SII phone Nice app until this happened so it would be great if its fixable update this problem is now fixed              Mick

downloaded for use with nikon d3300 Although it says it dosent work with that model when i plug it in it says that the camera is the reason it does not work due to its lack of software so dont blame the app i know this for a fact to be untrue as i have another app that does live view with this camera but dosent record video which is what i wanted this app for i wouldnt mind but their blaming my camera for their lack of compatibility when it is actually the app which has the problem please fix for these cameras as i know that its possible     Not working

I love this app for my macrophotography Focusing is fast and sharp I have only one problem with this app thats why I gave it only 4 stars On my Galaxy note 3 I cannot see the shoot button on the Time lapse There is no scroll down Please help How can I trigger shoot in time lapse              Best Remote Focus App

What the hell no support for the nikon D3300 get with the times One of the most popular cameras about    

It a nice app with loads of functions and it works great with my friends cannon but I wish it would work with my D3200 if it gets support it would be 55 but until then 35           Nice looking but no D3200 support

This software is an awesome asset for me and my camera Perhaps its age I just cant nail the focus Once I tether to my tablet I can see and adjust the focus perfectly Then I get all of the other benefits of Helicon Remote Im pleased with this app                 Awesome Asset

Got the paid version as I like to shoot RAW free version supports only jpeg I use it with my nikon d750 Love the app Tons of features like time lapse focus stacking focus peaking exposure bracketing etc However sound and motion triggers are rudimentary and laggy Connection to camera using my WiFi a big hassle and inconsistent Hence 4 stars Wired tethered shooting works like a charm Love the app and would gladly recommend it              Works like a charm

Love using this with my T3i Makes focusing on astrophotography a breeze also reviewing images transferring too for instant sharing I picked up a small pinch Mount and velcro to mount my phone to my tripod for time lapse and hyperlapse photography A MUST have I could pimp it more would they update for iPhone My iPhone friends are jealous                 Great App

Has decided it doesnt want to work anymore Nikon D90 and Motorola X combo I had to buy a powered USB hub and was able to get the software to work a couple of times Now it will not detect the camera Nothing in the faq was effective What a shame as Ive only just come to a level of competency that would make this app very powerful for my purposes Edit 122514 My Android USB Host is working ok I was able to use this app before and now I cannot so it is possible to make function        Has decided it doesnt want to work anymore

Wont even connect So program will not connect to camera and there is no way to trouble shoot it No setting no nothing just a button that sits there taunting you saying camera is not found Also the help page does not at all help for trying to connect     Wont even connect

I find this a very well designed and useful controller for my D800 It works great with my Moto G Android 502 phone when it works It will capture a few images then crash I will not pay for the license until it works consistently           then it crashes

It does not support the 5d I dont care about live view I do care about the final shot It did work with my cheap camera however it does not support my expensive camera    

Most stable appgives brilliant results combining an otg with old Nokia cable is the formula canon 600d                 Nexus 5

This app does not work with Nikon D600 and Samsung S4 And like this would not be enough it has the nerve to ask a humongous amount of money to allow users to shoot RAW I found other app that does the job perfectly without trying to rip off the users     Not for D600

A histogram of taken image would be essential Warnings of complete black and blownout areas would be nice too           Room for improvement

Amazing upgrade in control for better photos from your camera I have used this app nearly every day for a year Worth paying allot fornothing even close on other OS better by far than tethering to a PC I use this app a Nikon D5300 and a collection of 40 year zoom lenses The old metal F mount manual lenses have real focus rings and real aperture dials that work great Using this app on a Nexus 7 you can really get a nice live view to see how the photo will lookblows away a viewfinderwith rea                 Amazing control and preview for Nikon
