The aLogrec (free) is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.2 has been released on 2014-11-27. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Here is the app`s compatibility information: 2.2 and up

doesnt work
Doesnt seem to be able to log anything without root and it doesnt prompt for it Root
Dont know what Id do without it Simple and effective I can send clients out to test apps in the field and not worry about getting a pile of vague bug reports Dont know what Id do without it
Nice idea but without timestamps the recorded data is significantly less useful desperately needs timestamping
Doesnt work Needs root but doesnt request it Not updated since 2012 Doesnt work
I realise the normal logs dont have timestamps but it would have been better to have them so I could later import them into Splunk However the app works as advertised I left it running for a few weeks I lose about 15 to 20 of my daily battery which is acceptable The logs do grow quite large This would get 5 stars if it had the option of adding a timestamp at the beginning of every log Works but no timestamps
Clean simple reliable
Im trying to resolve a hang and when you reboot it concats to the prior log Why does it do that It should start a new one on reboot why does it concat on reboot
useless on my crashing Nexus 10 0KB file
Useful event log dumps for identifying wayward apps Its done pretty well for me so far but is a little limited by a lack of time stamps on events Useful
Hasnt worked for a while Jellybean support
Cant say it helps I installed it to see why my phone kept rebooting on its own but while the recorder is running the phone doesnt reboot but 2 minutes after I stop the recording the phone reboots Still hoping a reboot will occur while its running ud83dude11edit log file is empty it still stops my phone from rebooting but its not doing what its supposed to be doing Mixed feelings
Doesnt work on LG Nexus 5 All log files are at 0 bytes Doesnt work on LG Nexus 5
0 byte files 0b
Fine companion to aLogcat Both are essential tools Great diagnostic tool
Running on a Nexus for with Cyanogen Mod 101 android 42x aLogRec just produces 0kb files If there are permission issues on these newer 4x builds the dev needs to update this to be distributed as incompatible with those devices Something is not quite right
Doesnt work on Android 42 Comes up empty I think it doesnt have permission to see any logcat events other than from its own process Fix Doesnt work on Android 42
Unfortunately it doesnt work on Jelly Bean The logs are always empty

Boot time logging enabled me to identify an autostart app that was causing problems Thanks Great forensic app
Apparently it still doesnt work with Android 4x Im on KK rooted SMG900T with 442 and get 0kb files I was so hoping this would be able to tell me whats causing random reboots when Im talking on the phone 0kb files in KitKat
Google changed the permissions in Android 41 Jelly Bean and apps now require root access to read logs other than their own This app and others like it will no longer work without root access Not Recording
Sadly I must only give two stars as the application does nothing when recording on 4x devices
Creates a file but does not write to it Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 running Android 43 0 byte files on Android 43

Was requested by a dev company to use this tool to create a log that could be used for debugging purposesRecorded for 50 minutes but log file was emptyReading reviews looks like this is an old problem that has not been fixedHTC M8 One on Lollipop
I cant debug my app at my desk so this is very useful simple to use and effective Very useful
The sole function it is supposed to fulfil to record the output of logcat is malfunctioning on all devices I tested it with Other people have indicated it is happening on Android 4x devices At any rate the app is worthless without a fix However when fixed it deserves much praise Does not record
logs always empty running on cm 101 Jellybean 422 Samsung Galaxy Nexus
