If you are Android owner,you now can download ANT+ Plugins for free from Google Play. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.2.0 has been released on 2014-11-25. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. No one likes extraneous apps using their phone s resources unnecessarily However I make frequent use of the Samsung Health app and its sensors won t communicate with my phone without Ant services Additionally there are many 3rd party health related monitoring devices heart rate monitors weight scales fitness monitors that rely on Ant services It s not the demon some make it out to be If removing useless apps is your goal start with Facebook Twitter Snapchat and the like                     Ron B

I have a wireless headset Bluetooth it is getting connected but unable to play radio It is saying connect wired headphones to turn on the radio The wire act as an antenna About this also emailed to the support team but did not receive any information from them     Mohd Khaseem

i actually unistalled mine a while back and is still in my library to install again if i wanted it For all the people that r paranoid or doing stuff that they shouldn t be doing like people looking at them or taking info from them is just ridiculous sorry to say that but it s just a pre installed app and if i was not able to uninstall this app i would ve just hid it what about people that don t want Google pay u can t uninstall that so what am i gonna do write reviews and drive myself crazy                     Daven M

More developers need to get hot with ROMS Installing a custom ROM not only allows you unlock multiple new features but also increases your phone performance and removes bloatware stock applications Did you know you can actually control the parts of your device an app can access The custom ROM enables you to deny permission to some apps that you would not otherwise do on the stock ROM And stop this nonsense     Stephen

This is super awesome Not only I have ANTs all over our property i now have ants IN my phone too Samsung Note 9 is actually quite spacious for them they really like being inside there They ve made it quite a home here Vey glad to always have ANTs with me Note 10 PLUS is coming out they surely will want to be in that phone also                     Andrew Ptashnjuk

I just stumbled upon this app and after a little research I must ask What 4 000 000 people have downloaded and have already began using this app I do believe I have not even EVER heard of this method of Low Power communications or any method that is commonly being used for any of the preconceived ideas that cellular technology was originally intended Ask yourself what it is that you bought why you did buy it and its primary purpose and you will have the scope that all the purposes of the hardware and applications are supposed to be providing But if you really look ask yourself what kind of device is purchased and then remains primarily unavailable to the user with regard to it s permissions functionality and hardware config If you bought a house would you feel ok with the seller keeping an extra set of keys that allow him to enter through the basement and a couple other tunnels but feel secure because they claim that they are the only ones gaining access and that you however will not be allowed to monitor who goes in or out and though you may own the house you do not own the locks or the keys to the doors that allow access to your house The tunnels are public domain so                     Parker Dawson

I have to say that I just read some of the arrogant statements below that imply that I am too stupid to know anything I don t care if it only takes up a tiny space The point is I want only what I want on my phone I don t think anything about this app I did not ask for it and apparently there is no way to uninstall it I don t like that things are put on my phone that I don t want or didn t ask for How do I get rid of them I see that if I don t use it it will remain inactive but it takes up space as do the others I don t want I want them removed altogether     Judith B

This is a driver Not an app If it s preinstalled on your device it means your device s hardware supports the ANT communication protocol Similar to Bluetooth and NFC and this driver is required for it to function The ANT protocol was developed by Garmin and is frequently to communicate with smart devices watches fitness trackers etc This driver cannot be uninstalled for the same reasons you cannot uninstall the Wifi driver or the NFC driver or the Bluetooth driver It only takes up 2 27 MB of your storage It will not run or use system resources RAM battery CPU etc unless a running app requires the ANT communication protocol It s probably in Play Store and not built into the operating system like most of the other drivers are to allow for easier updates If it was built into the system updating it would require a system update which would have to be approved and pushed by the device manufacturers It s also in the Play Store for users who don t have hardware that supports ANT but do have a dongle that supports it TL DR It s a driver Not an app It s important It s small 2 27 MB It won t use ram or other resources unless another app needs it Don t worry about it                     Martian 1oh1

I have turned off all auto updates cos it really pissing me off when I m away from the proximity sensor in the phone it updated as soon as I plugged it on charge and i was away from phone this seems to be the new happenings of all apps     Mick Smyth
