If you are Android owner, you now can download Sign Short Message Service for free from Google Play. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.1 has been released on 2014-11-20. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This app is perfect Awesome
This helps those who want to learn ASL with SMS more than you can imagine Cool
This is an really good app but if the qwerty keyboard was available that would be excellent Also if the letters were emojis Will these things possible in the future QWERTY Keyboard needed
Cool my husband is deaf App
Only thing i cant figure out how to send regular text to deaf friend that only speaks sign language And he cant read regular text Is that possible Besides that great app Thank you for responding to my question Well he has iPhone cant find your app in that version Hopefully one day soon Thank you 5 star app Nice app
Good practice reading sign the pollfish survey with every text gets a little old Good practice
Its ok
Knew these when i was a kidnow i remember them all thanks Great app
Would benefit maybe from an option to not show the entire text transcript without opening message would stop people cheating by not bothering to look at signs at all Would also benefit from allowing landscape keyboard especially for smaller screens Lastly make it a qwerty keyboard as it takes ages to get used to what letters are where and slows text speed Good app for getting your fingerspelling up to speed tho Thanks Good fun and educational
This app is very helpful the UI is clean and its easy to use One nice thing would be if you could add the qwerty keyboard instead of the abc one In sure new languages will cone in the upcoming updates aswell Good job on this Very Useful
Ive taken ASL classes before and this is the best app Ive ever seen to communicate with the deaf community with something besides plain text Im assuming the other person has to download the app too in order for it to work properly Great App
I appreciate the effort and I am sure that a new sign language student would appreciate the application but its just not my thing Ok
A must have for anyone who can read BslA copy and paste choice would be great Thanks for your effort Great
cool
I like it So teach my family or friends to learn this Good idea
I do like this idea but I dont like that when I get text message it interrupts every single thing I am doing It is making apps I am using freeze up and stop every time I receive a text message Just had to uninstall because of the interruptions Interrupts other apps and operations
My daughter is deaf Ive been teaching myself sign but for some reason recognizing finger spelling hurts my brain This is a good way to practice without thinking about what the person is signing in front of you Very Useful
But looking for ASL in words and idioms Great
But I cant see the settings to change the alphabet to bsl My phone is an HTC m8 Update coming Looks good
If you can have these as a emoji would be great Emoji
Great application
I really love the idea that I can read and learn how to understand sign language Great idea This is really great
Keyboard is iffy I wish I could sign to type Disappointment Uninstalling Eh
Currently enrolled in first course of ASL This app was a brilliant idea Going to share this with my class ASAP
I love love LOVE this app Ive been using it for a few months and luckily havent experienced the problems others are having Like others have said a QWERTY board would improve it Also when Im reading watching a message if I get another text it goes straight to that even though I havent finished reading the first one Would be so much better if could carry on reading before the next one comes up Thanks AMAZING
So its a cool little app but it still takes so much effort I wish it was set up so I could use the texting Im used to swype and letter location Still a cool tool if you have the time Settings
I like the app overall I dont like that it pops up whenever I get a text but Ill deal with it for now Also if the keyboard could be set up like standard qwerty thatd be excellent Decent
i love it though i dnt hav a deaf frnd buh hav always wanted tew learn sign language tanx so much
First off I usually text in landscape mode and this app doesnt work in that I guess Also I click send more than once but dunno if it sent the message If it didnt send then Im changing rating from 3 stars to 1 star Cute app but needs improvement
I live this app but I have a few issues with it First of all it is it a QWERTY keyboard Second you cannot use it as a keyboard to use anywhere else like regular keyboard I would like to use it in Snapchat Instagram and Kik Unfortunately I cannot All in all a good app though Cannot use as an actual keyboard
Its great Love it
Its okay I thought it would send the sign to the other person but it doesnt Their should be full signs not just the alphabet and that the receiver could see as well
I can communicate Very good
I teach American Sign Language and this is an incredible app for anyone wanting to learn the sign language alphabet Seriously one of the best apps I have found out there Great
How do you go into the settings for this app Also is there a way to make all the messages from each person in one conversation Settings
Amazing simple but straight to the point The best
Installed and installed 3 times cant get it to work
I came here to see the reply to my review I said that I love it but its always in caps can this is fixed Thanks I didnt mean to delete my review
This app is ridiculously frustrating constantly fails and asks if you want to report Ludicrous Dont do it
Deafness isnt a barrier to communication If you know where to look and its free My partner has now downloaded this app as have my 2 daughters They in turn have passed it to classmates Though I use BSL our classifiers are the same as ASL so for them to recognise the classfiers we text each other Good practice and helps fingers to warm up Fingerspell me a message
