My Writing Nook

I love this app I can write my stories on my phone and then they show up on my computer I dont have to rewrite everything I already wrote Only one complaintNo bold or italics             

This is a good app but it would be nice to find scrolling a bit easier              Good app but

Really Useful Can write anywhere I want Computer or phone Didnt loose my work when My hard drive died Easy to use can colour code your work and there is a word count Love it Recomend to all writes Only issue is Cant do italics etc and Cant find double spacing                 Excellent App

Great app and its good on the go but I have some real issues syncing it so that I can edit on my PC later           Problems with sync

Only things holding back 5 stars are slow scroll speed have a doc thats about 3500 words that takes an age to scroll through and the way whenever the screen times out or I answer a call it looses where I was and I have the first problem all over again Fix this and 5 stars no problem           Fair editor

If you change your Google login dont forget to change it here as well It took me forever to figure that one out              Password

Unfortunately I have problems synching with the website too like so many other users I think that Ill stick with MobisleNotes as Id hate to lose hours of writing in a computer glitch A shame        Problems synching

Just purchased and installed on my Android phone and looks pretty promising Just that it does not sync with the Web at all If I can get it to sync I believe it would be useful        Does not sync

i have used this app for a few years now and i absolutely love it but lately have trouble synching i had been using the iphone app and recently got an android device i read through some of the reviews and saw how one person resolved their sync issues via their google account so i decided to check my google account as well i updated my security options in google and after that it synced to both devices so if youre having trouble synching check your security settings in your google account love the app                 trouble with sync

Ahh man I cant tell you how much this app has saved my writing I can literally go anywhere and not be worried about what tablet or piece of paper or laptop or computer my files are on Its amazing I start at home on my laptop continue on my phone while Im on the city bus or train commuting and then can continue at any computer I want I even use it on my tablet Amazing app my novels go wherever my mind does and thats everywhere                 This is what Cloud memory is meant for

First I want to say that I have a selfish reason for writing this review I want this app to be ALWAYS available on as many platforms as possible so that I will always be able to procure it Visually and organizationally this is the best app of its kind Ive seen Two tips on syncing First you probably know that their website autosaves your work But that autosave as with most is not instantaneous It probably happens maybe every two or three minutes So if you are going to RUSH to your smartphone to see if the editing you just did on the website shows up on your phones app youd better MANUALLY SAVE the document at their website If you dont then theres no way that your editing will appear in the app on your phone Second after each editingmodifying session use the SAVE on the website and SYNC on the phone functions otherwise you might end up with one version of a document on your phone and a different one at the site and the SYNC function will not be effective if at the beginning of your editing session your phone has one version of the document and their website has another BRAVO to the developer and sincere thanks                 TWO TIPS ABOUT SYNCING

Not a lot of frills No updates in ages But still my favorite writing app                 Simple effective writing app

It has a lot of potential On the plus side it has a word count posted for each document Few apps have that you wont have to download another app for a word count The color coding system is nice Ad free Shares well w all your other apps Cons it doesnt scroll well so large documents are difficult to work with it doesnt always sync reliability with its website           Ok

Used this app a lot but no longer syncs Changed google app settings for apps in the past to fix the problem but it stopped working the last few days and have received no reply from developer to fix issue        Sync issus

This is a great distraction free utility for writing It uses cloud storage which is great for stress free story storage You can access it from most any browser and from an app You can truly write nearly anywhere If you have problems with the app not syncing check with the author it may be characters in your password                 Love it Perfect for writing

I love the ease of use of this program however syncing does not work even according to the FAQ trouble shooting guide I deleted everything off the website and synced my tablet still nothing on the web so I just use it for its other features instead        Sync issue needs to be addressed

Ive been using this app for a few years but now it will not sync on any of my devices Guess Ill be looking for an alternative           Is this app even supported by developer

There definitely needs to be a scroll bar or something for long documents It takes a long time to get to the beginning of a document from the end or vice versa Besides that its really a gorgeously simple app I love it Give me a scroll bar and it will be 5              Great app but it could be better

I used this app in the past but lost it when I upgraded my phone Ive used many writing apps since but nothing compares to simplicity and functionality of this app                 Simple and Effective

Picked up this app for the ease of use and simplicity but also for the sync ability it pushed as a big benefitunfortunately have never been able to sync anythingeven by doing as steps in help guidednow I see many other people have same issueis anyone going to fixmaybe just need to find a different appthan anyway        Disappointed

Ive written three novel sized stories on this app the last of over 170k words Its easy effortless to use and doesnt impede creativity Just dont ask it to do italics                 I use this app every single day

This app is pretty great the only problem I have with it is that there is no way to organize your files and folders This makes keeping your project separate slightly more difficult than it needs to be I also am unable to rename my files after theyve been named the first time Aside from that I love it              Good enough

This is a simple app without a lot of extra features but the ones it does have are good It syncs your documents to your gmail account has an easy interface to categorize and switch between documents and meshes well with the web version of the program A big plus for me was being able to use CtrlArrow on my bluetooth keyboard to skip words After getting used to this shortcut on my PC I had a hard time finding an Android app that supported this until now              Simple enough to think about the writing not the tool

Used to love it It wont sync on my moto g or my Samsung Galaxy 4 tablet Tried uninstalling reinstalling logging in and out Nada Any suggestions     Ughh

Wont sync I like the look and the features but I cant get it to sync at all Also no scrolling and no text effects but I could overlook all of tbat if the sync worked        Wont sync

Simplistic design and ease of use Cant ask for more Exactly what I wanted in a writing app                

After initial glitch I couldnt be happier Been using My Writing Spot since back when it was My Writing Nook and I love everything about it But when I first purchased this app I was having a helluva time getting it to sync It took an hour before the solution dawned on me I have 2Step Verification activated on my Google account and some Google associated applications require one extra step to work An ApplicationSpecific Password Generated one and now syncs beautifully Great app works perfectly and all is well Also emails to support were answered quickly Thanks Peter                 After initial glitch I couldnt be happier

Ive been using MWS for years and though I also use other writing apps I return to this one because it does what I need for it to do And I love the automatic word count which comes in handy for NaNoWriMo Only downside is the synch option that used to work and now it doesnt              Oldie but Goodie

A lot of us have sent messages to encourage the developer to come out with something new especially for us night writers Instead the app hasnt been touched in over two years Gee thanks for wasting my money     Getting really tired of the silence

All this talk about using a cloud server and none of my tests moved a doc file from tablet to pc or vice versa Only option in the app is to email myself I can do that with any free app 299 seems high for a digital notepad The dictionary and Thesaurus are nicely incorporated Sorry to be hard about my review Ive bought it now I just have to wait for the promised cloud sharing to come BTW I did do as the instruction said to sync documents but nothing ever shows on either device I did write seperate doc on each to test it Close PC browser to allow syncing of app didnt help transfer doc to cloud or have show up on tablet I really had high hopes for this Update following the suggestions the publisher offered to sync accounts between app and website failed for some reason Logging out of website didnt help sync the app Accounts verified on both ends        Disappointed

Its great but I really love this app and Ive been using it for almost four years now The features are great but there are a few additions that would make it absolutely perfect I would love a scroll bar feature And a night mode because I prefer to write late at night Another thing the scrolling has become a little difficult recently and the app starts to slow down when the documents reach more than four thousand words If that was fixed at least I would be happy Other than that its awesome           Its great but

I used to love this app I have used it for several years and now it wont sync I tried all of that Google 2 step verification nonsense but its still not working I would hate to change to a different app        Used to like it

Still wont sync Wish I could have used this app as it seemed very promising and just what I needed Unfortunately after multiple attempts at syncing it has never worked Ive uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch of times as well but still nothing The directions on the site did not help and neither did the customer support It may just be that its not compatible with my tablet Galaxy Note 101but if thats the case I wish sometype of warning would be attached An update fixing this issue would be appreciated        Still wont sync
