The ultimate mobile English pronunciation aid, for both students AND teachers. Sounds: The Pronunciation App helps you study, practise and play with pronunciation wherever you are. Sounds is based on the best-selling book &39;Sound Foundations&39; ...

It s quite good but there are some improvements to be made Particularly when you are buying a word set it takes a lot of time You tap de Word set that you want to buy but it takes many tries to complete the purchase Otherwise quite useful                 Hugo Grijalva
The app needs to be UPDATED for the newest version of Android It also needs a DELETE function when entering the pronunciation for words in the quiz Also FONT SIZE is too large in the word list view             Joss Stehbens
5 star start 0 for customer service since I started having problems because it has not been upgraded         Vincenzo Alfano
I paid for the full version for full word lists as I need it to quickly check my transcriptions for words during class time however I cannot see the entire word Samsung android after reading other comments I can see the same comments from others I contacted Macmillan in their defence they did identify the problem right away and ask for a screenshot but nothing has happened since as I guess not much can be done if you re using android its not worth paying for the full version         Tom Christie
Petty poor to be honest It only opens about once every five tries and even then the phonetic chart is incomplete     Rosalind Mc Nab
As useful as this app may be the read sub sections within the quiz and practice sections aren t formatted corrected for my phone so I can t even read the word I m supposed to be translating Very disappointing considering this is the premium version Please fix asap         Joshua Lynch
Really impressed with the free version Brought the pro version and more impressed with it                     Graham Irving
Mostly good but sometimes the keys freeze mid quiz             Lucy Bristow
Disappointed free version was acceptable I paid for all books and they are nor working Untill now I can believe that Mcmillan can invest for a proper update for Android 9 Do not worth it     Jlo Lon
best app i ever used for phoenetics period but the app sucks better than a vaccum cleaner in terms of usability                 Antony B
Can only see half of the symbols in the practice     Michael Jarvis
Doesn t work the all displays a title screen but nothing else Using a Huawei S9     Robb Watson
Couldn t fit perfectly on my screen         Chuma Geo
It could have been more useful             Amit Vikram
I think it is amazing app                     100 Ideas for brilliant kids
Not meant for Samsung as it s overlapping and you can t see the entire list on the screen very annoying So basic for a paid App I have learned the Phonetics in the UK and this app has a weird Phonetics sounds in my opinion Shame I paid already for it If I had known this i definitely wouldn t have bought it     Nissa
Hands down the best pronunciation content in any app Unfortunately the app itself is very shoddy Half the time fields and buttons overlap so you can t access them The whole thing crashes every 5 minutes Still the best tool out there for this particular purpose                 Primoz Sibau
It s great I am using it for my studies and it has helped me a lot Had a problem installing on a new phone and it customer care responded quickly My problem is solved Room for improvement work on start up speed Is it the best phonics app out there Yeah                     Rueben Durand
I m shocked at how lacking this app is Don t get me wrong there s a ton of words which is a good plus However anyone can use Quizlet FOR FREE and the learning functions are so much more adaptive and helpful In its present state I d say not to waste the money It s a real shame It seems very much that Macmillan are using the name in order to overcharge for an inferior product         Stupendously basic for a PAID app Rachel Brownstein
It works well on my Samsung S8 and S9 Initially I had wordlist overlapping issue I learned that this was caused by activating Tap Here to Fill Entire Screen Turn this off in Display Full Screen Apps and the overlapping issue disappears                     Purwadi Nitimidjojo
I have just changed phones from a Samsung Galaxy S5 to an S8 The weds now overlap and it is not easy to find the packages I have purchased As an ESL teacher I found this app very useful Please make it compatible with contemporary smartphones                 Steve Pickering
I ve been using it for the past year but the paid version has decided not to work anymore It simply opens the logo and nothing happens It has been happening since Android 5 now I m on 6 0 1 and stills not working Please fix it     For some reason not working anymore Rafael Gonzalez
I really like the content but after having paid for this I m not satisfied with the fact that it keeps freezing It causes problems on my phone             Keeps freezing Does this often Joseph Mudikuneil
Broken on my new phone Text doesn t adjust to screen not able to read what it says         Sam Ferdinand
Word definitions do not work Both on iOS and Android Wouldn t bought it if I knew that it is not working properly             MM K
It s kind of messy on the Google Pixel Works in landscape mode better but still crashes a lot Practice mode is pretty much unusable on the Google Pixel             A Google user
Since I ve changed my phone to Google pixel I can t use it because it s not compatible anymore It went from one of the best to the worst because I can t use it It s a pity     Eiji Ok
Brilliant app but it really really needs to be updated for modern devices Horizonal mode is all screwed up on my phone it s a real shame as it is a great tool             Shaun Hickox
Easy to use and very useful Good practise exercises however they could introduce an element of fun to make the experience a little less staid                 Great learning aid Harry S
No favorite word marking option even in costly purchased Lists Delayed Start Cheap tactic to cash upon brand name     Nasar S
Used to love this app but it stopped working on my phone altogether gets stuck on title screen and frequently glitches out while typing on my tablet Frustrating especially since it is otherwise exactly what I need to practice and teach phonemes     Stacy Kudo
Ok app Great idea however there are problems with the formatting of the app which makes it difficult to use on the phone There is no landscape option under the read practice These formatting issues take away from the app overall             A Google user
A comprehensive practical app from one of the world s top linguistic publishers The keyboard keeps freezing during tests though                 Perfect Burak Kanar
For a paid app I m rather disappointed Often this app won t even open I wouldn t suggest buying             Susan Chiarello
I can t go past the welcome screen Waste of money     Sunil Kumar
It is not five stars just because the app frozen sometimes                 Great App Jefferson Almeida
Great app However i just want know how to create new word immediately and listen to it rather than just depending on random words in wordlists             S P Sreenivas
Unusable purchased app Highly disappointing Nexus 5X on 6 0 1     Swadesh Deepak
