The The Australian is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 3.0.4.1 has been released on 2014-06-4. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Australia s greatest electronic newspaper until the Cryptic Crossword format went from the sublime to the ridiculous It now has the appearance of something borrowed from A Child s Garden of Verse or Comic Cuts Compared to the previous version it is cumbersome and awkward to use Please PLEASE revert to the previous format and regain some credibility     Tony Lewis

Latest version needs urgent work Every time I try and scroll past Today s Paper it requests access to my photos which OF COURSE I deny Then I have to go back out of that section to continue scrolling through UPDATE for clarity Of course I understand it is a system message My point is that no news app should be asking to access my photos And I should be able to move past the Today s Paper tab with a single swipe             Troz

Once downloaded if closed I have to download a second time which is very annoying Do not like the order of the articles and prefer the hard copy layout Enjoy the articles especially by the Inquirer journalists I will get used to this new app in time but it is frustrating and there is enough of that in life anyway             Jenny Debney

Just updated the app and the crossword has gone from a good speed to very clunky and almost impossible to do Keeps changing from across to down without warning and putting the letters in is very slow Used to take me approx 5 minutes to complete quick crossword first time on new improved version 29 28 minutes This needs fixing     Michael Sexton
