The MD5 Checker is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.6.3 has been released on 2014-01-14. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Seems to do what it s supposed to do but also filled up 8 GB on my phone s internal storage for some reason Seems fishy or maybe it s a weird bug related to cache but either way not ideal Uninstalled         John Sweat

One major feature is missing the ability to verify the existing database of md5 checksums against the corresponding directory tree of physical files referenced therein The only use of this app would be to calculate checksum of something downloaded directly on an Android device but this is impossible because most sites prevent downloads from anything except a desktop or laptop computer So one still has to use a proper computer to do any type of work     Cannot verify existing MD5SUMS Tigran Aivazian
