can t scan the lower part of dome starts to flash a lot and this is when calibrating so after if i start to scan there will be no dome i know it can scan some decent drawings maybe its the camera on my new phone 3 lens it was weird for me at first i try my old huawei maybe the app could have a re calibration option so i dont have to reinstall it every time the calibration fails         buubised

app although on the surface seems to suggest it gives good results first scan didnt work two suggestions to guide better is a o screen light meter to help people see if they have the area prepared correctly also a mat v2 that has reference points to make it easier for the app to keep a constant of which way the paper is to keep the ar more stable             Russell Lilley

so this app is awesome for scanning objects of all kinds of shapes and sizes however i dont like that i have to pay to have my objects exported honestly i would rather just pay for the app its self max id pay is 10 for lifetime use exports for all objects i scan id maybe even do 2 a month but 2 per export is kinda bogus                 Eric R

the first time it showed a dome It showed a pop up while i was scanning for the first time saying something like map has to be calliberated once keep scanning until the dom disappears completely I did while still keeping the object on the map It said calliberation successful after the dome disappeared and that s it I am not able to do anything now The initial scan I made is nowhere to be seen When I try to scan again I don t see the dome this time     sruthi sripathi

QLONE doesn t even begin to achieve real world results like those illustrated in the demo and tutorial videos Installed it on my LG V30 ThinQ and had nothing but irregular scan issues Any objects with a round top gets a cone shaped point added to the scanned geometry Even after applying a matte paint and grid lines to the object a helmet the pointed cone still appears Barely any fine detail even in HiRes mode And the post scan editing features don t even exist Cannot recommend     Lance Crane

Tried to scan half a grip from an item used multiple sizes of mats item was missing tons of edges and jagged I even went to far as to place the item on a record player so I could stay steady and spin the base with as little movement as possible some had detail so looked more like blobs     Robert Miracle

maybe it will work for you didnt work for me at all tried scaning a few basic shapes all flat black objects a plastic jar lid a plastic chair foot insert both turned out nothing like originals it just picked up a flat surface with varrying shade rather than the contours of the object it seemed to wokk ok but not great when a scanned a juice box which was light colored and had varrying color to it and flat surfaces however i dont want to scan print a rectangle     Dorian Prospero

Waiting for reply on what I think should be a basic function I think my mat was not fully flat enough for the camera calibration There is no way to redo the calibration even uninstal reboot reinstall doesn t work The help files need improvement I also see there is a high resolution mode Maybe require it during calibration I gave 2 stars simply because it looks like it might work Otherwise it doesn t work on Huawei mate 30 pro         Terry Norris

Just get a blank screen when trying to scan the AR dome sees it but when you go to record scan just black screen with no feedback It also seems that if it did work it would be really expensive one export one credit seems hefty when one of the things I m going to scan it 150 small parts But at 0 99 to export a 35mmx35mm obj each Looks like it has potential in the future     Dan Scott

Scans do not work on galaxy note 9 I was forced to use this for a class and it immediately became clear that the android version of this app was so much worse than the ios version It took me an hour to get a scan and everyone on the iphone app like 5 minutes     Ben Diers

Really excited about this technology My first attempts to scan were very positive The one gripe I have to mention is that it doesn t seem to scan hollow objects very well but I ve only tried one thing and it s probably not the best thing to scan a glossy ceramic cup my son made Usability for me was pretty straightforward the tutorials make it virtually impossible to mess up Horrible lighting and it still worked quite well My son and I are going to have quite a bit of fun with this                 John Emmons

I used this with Android However I just could not get it to work I carefully walked around and around the target Took me several attempts But the guided method seemed to be working But despite about 2 hours of real effort I never saw or received any prompts to save the scan shame I looked st the website looks like it is iOS and not Android     mike mckean

Pretty cool thing to play around with Takes some time to get it right Larger scans are tricky I occasionally have an issue where I click scan and nothing happens other than the screen going blank any advice from the developers For a free tool I m pretty satisfied You do have to buy credits to export but the price is reasonable                 Alicia N

Good idea but not very reliable or intuitive to use Even in really bright environment it struggles to track the object Tested using the mat from their site printed on matte finish paper to avoid reflections but still struggles Also tested using a tripod I tried it in a room with 26 led lights yet the object still appeared dark in the app         Rich Mangan

I wanted to give it 1 star because it really doesn t create a very realistic 3d model even in best case scenario However after using AutoCad ReCap I m impressed that this app creates just as bad a 3d model as the very expensive and annoying ReCap I thought that technology had made it this far already I can create in modeling clay a more accurate replica than these 3d programs in the same amount of time oh well I wanted something to speed up modeling in TinkerCad this is not that tool             Eric Blake

Good idea BUT I had so much trouble trying to scan the lower portions of any object I tried to scan The first two levels of scanning from the center of the object scanned very fast but it became more and more of a problem as I got lower on the object I burned up time and battery for this with no results         Philip McCracken
