Arctic Spas

The Arctic Spas is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 3.0.1 has been released on 2014-11-23. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Decent enough app Turns on tub and lights fine I had to hardwire the tub to avoid the problems With all the really good WiFi connect options out there i don t understand why they would choose such outdated and ineffective hardware solution Also this app should be used to unify ALL the documentation for salt water tubs rather than the 3vs i can find in app and in the web Needs to work with Google home C mon man             SJ Brown

It works then it doesn t The UX is poorly designed They took the old school panel UI and turned it into an app without leveraging the newer technology I should be able to select the color of the lights instead of having to push the button repeatedly until I get the desired setting What does the EZ button do It turns everything on Why does it not just say its function Also you have to click twice to engage the same of clicks to do it with the other buttons Poor customer support     Brian Landblom

Alright I guess but I find it frustrating to have to log in and then select my spa each time There should be an option to stay logged in and if I only have one spa like the vast majority of users to have it automatically selected This app does not need to have more login steps than my banking apps I also don t know why everything buttons EZ button and spaboy can t easily fit on one page                 Mike Gray

Before this revision I could control my spa with no issues wifi u0026 cloud I spent 2 hours trying to figure why nothing works anymore router internet network reception interface possible hot tub board failure issues I called Arctic spas and I was told to make sure I had the new update that occurred Checked and yes I did Found out the update is the issue I will wait and see if things get resolved This remote capability monitoring was the 1 reason for buying Arctic spa     Steve Rolland

I have more intermittent problems with this App and Tenda 3 6 19 Still problems with app Can t believe this awesome spa at 15k still has app issues Wish they would fix this on going problem Really my only complaint I have tech here new routers multiple times and still no resolution in site     Mark Raugh

It has been working fine until today I can connect to my tub from my desktop but I cannot connect with the app on my Samsung 8 Keeps coming up with the message Failed To Connect         Rob J

A new update 2019 06 13 Getting better although audible and visual Spa Boy notifications still do not work Firmware shows current version but an older version available Speaking with Arctic I ve been told a new software firmware update is coming which should solve these issues But then again I ve been told this several times over the past year I m not holding my breath Until we have full as designed functionality this app only rates 3 stars             Thomas Skoropad

The app has nothing to do if you are showing offline That is a network issue If you are showing spa disconnected please contact your dealer when you are home so they can walk you through the trouble shooting When I updated my app needed to get the last digits of the IP address from the spa Its found in low level programming the digits after it says IPdy If you have the cloud part of the app you no longer need to use the wifi part                     Melissa Deveau

My spa is connected to wifi but the app lately always says spa is offline I am unable to do anything This was supposed to be a convenience appbut for me not really knowledgeable about wifi routers etc Its a nightmare I wish there would be a clear instructions how to keep spa connected to wifi     Katarina Dobos Kubickova

When I set my router to channel 6 and connected the spa to it it seemed to have a better connection but still wouldn t work sometimes When I tried to connect the tub to my wifi router it never seemed to stay connected I then saw that you need to set your wifi router to channel 6 I decided on hard ethernet wire to my router instead bc the globalspa password is not configurable Anyone that sees and arctic WAP can connect to it and if it s connected to your home wifi they now have free access to your internet very insecure With hard wire the app connects reliably For app improvements I would suggest to add a save button on the power management main and peak hours page and a popup that the settings were saved It seems that a lot of times my changes wouldn t save when I backed out and came back to the window to look at the settings again It never saves if you use u003c Power Management button on the top left I had to use my phone s back arrow to get it to save Arctic should trash the wifi router option and just add a quality powerline ethernet adapters to the spas this would be more secure and reliable and shouldn t have as much problems as wifi             Adam Paugh

Is anyone else having difficulty with the firmware upgrade When I click on the button to perform the upgrade it doesn t seem to start and times out crashes I even tried deleting the app and reinstalling it without success Any help is appreciated             Arron Jackson

It does what is supposed to My biggest complaint is that you need to log back into the app alot They should also add filter water change and other maintenance reminders to the app                 Justin Henry

I figured out the connectivity issue for some reason you have to change your hottubs IP to Dynamic so it is not static anymore not sure why but it worked for me             Aaron D'Souza

Update As of 5 7 2018 login is completely broken Tapping login with valid credentials brings up a loading spinner for a few seconds then nothing happens and you remain on the login screen Update I thought this app had the worst longest login process out of any app I ve used but now they ve added another screen after login A blank shop now screen shows up no matter what you do There isn t an option to disable it To the developers working on this where is your integrity Do you not take pride in any of the work you do This was a recent update which means you added the screen then didn t test it at all before publishing I d be ashamed to have my name on this app if I were on your team Previous The login session functionality is terrible The session expires each time you navigate away from the app Your username and password are stored on the login screen which if the devs cared about security enough to kill your session every 5 seconds you would think they wouldn t allow that After a few logins the app hangs while loading the main spa control screen The UI is dated and is not very intuitive For example if you want to see what temperature you set the tub to you have to adjust it up or down to get it to display Otherwise it just shows current tub temp There is also no manual refresh option think pull down to refresh to see if the temp or chemical reading have updated If they fixed the horrendous login issues I could deal with the rest of the bad design As it stands it is almost unusable     Adam Stone

New update seems to have a bug in it When spa is on I either get OFFLINE when trying to connect via the cloud or no spa found when trying to connect via wifi Other then that I use the app a lot and think it is a great feature and I do LOVE my tundra     Chris Shepley
