The Escort Live is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.1.0 has been released on 2014-11-19. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Trying to use a Note 9 with a RedLine and DirectWire I ve been using EL since it first launched Everything was great for the first few years with the exception that the app never actually ran when in the background it basically just paused until you brought it to the front again Then they updated EL and I was unable to turn off the ridiculous Over Speed warning which made it 100 useless Now with the new app I can t connect to the Direct Wire via Bluetooth so it s useless again     Jeff Newlin

I really like the new update and everything seems to be working great still with my old 9500ix I will be leaving the 9500 in my truck and upgrading in my Camaro to make sure I have the best coverage I can get Only problem is getting it to pair sometimes with my radar detector but I can usually get it                 Nathan Kennedy

Bluetooth connection is terrible This is my second detector because I thought something was wrong with my original one Well my second one has the same issue I have a terrible time getting my phone to get and stay connected Then after multiple attempts I finally get it and I m stuck to just the escort app or I lose Bluetooth connection This really isn t ideal in any level Edit Bit better after previous update We ll see if there s any difference with current update         Alex Thomson

I would like to see the app initiate without my intervention I have to turn it on and off when I leave the vehicle I updated my phone and the app no longer shows the posted speeds If you have an older Android you may be okay Sadly I am on my 3rd month with an app that does not work with the service I paid for Looking foward to trying the new app If it is as good as it sounds it will be great Thank you for reconizing the issues and working to correct them I look forward to a 5 star review                 Charles Girardi

Constant OSP Alerts Disabled in the app and it did not change it on the radar detector despite being connected via BT The update from August did not fix this OSP issue Frustrating to spend this kind of money on a radar detector and get a sub par app     Scott Kerr

Fantastic app when it s working but as of late it refuses to connect to Bluetooth It s very unreliable in regards to when it can actually connect to your phone I m on android When it does work however top quality My feature suggestion is to have your manual warning placements the placement should be behind your vehicle based on your speed instead of exactly where your vehicle was at the time of the report This is due to it taking time to place the tag after you have driven passed                 RpTheHotrod

What a disappointment I purchased a detector simply for the internal bluetooth and escort live app I was under the impression the detector would push ALL audio to phone via bluetooth with escort live running I was very disappointed to find that this not the case The only audio alert received on the phone is simply a single voice prompt that QUICKLY says Ka Band and that s it No signal strength beeps to fallow just ka band and right back to music What s the point in that     Gary Mc

Mostly great app theres just 2 glitches I have come across that push me away from using it The main issue I can t disable overspeed alerts I can set them to 5 10 15 20 above posted but when its in off mode it defualts to the posted limit and its unbelievably anoying I have it disabled in the radar settings Escort iX and in the app Still im plagued by these really anoying overspeed alerts Its the main reason I have stopped using the app                 Damian Kliman

This new App doesn t connect to any of my Escort Detector Not to my Max nor my brand new Max 360 it doesn t see them I can go into the settings of the app it doesn t show anything under devices or in the Bluetooth settings of the phone it doesn t show either of them I tried a diffrent phone I did a factory reset on both detectors and uninstalled and reinstalled the app nothing fix this issue this must be an issue with the new version of this app as both detectors worked before with this app     Jesse Linde

the map is set to show about 2 miles ahead you can can not change the zoom level while using the GPS the past app I could zoom out 10 or more miles The over speed alert settings do it work I have turned it off or set it to 25 over and the alert continues to happen I have uninstalled and reinstalled several time restarted phone with no change unfortunately this is not an improvement it is a step backwards     Koch Droid

Previous Escort Live app worked on my Max 360 Only problem I had was having to trying to connect to bluetooth sometimes I would get markers showing up on the map from live radar and laser all the time Now with the new app its devoid of all alerts except for traffic and accidents I drove by Ka radar today and my Max 360 alerted me However it never showed up on the map even though my phone recognized the alert from my Max 360 This app is nowhere near ready for general release     Manfred Engelhardt

I am updating my review of the app although it has been greatly improved I still can t shut the overspeed off I ve gone on radar and app settings to shut them both off but the radar detector setting keeps defaulting back to 55 mph             Digger Bob

New version causes my phone to run hot Galaxy S10 At first I just thought it was because I left my phone in the sun while driving and it overheated I noticed the phone was hot this morning with no sun after about an hour driving I do like the night mode the brightness of the old version at night was annoying         Curtis Riley

Would have given higher star rating but because the bluetooth connection will not stay connected everytime I make a call or someone calls me it drops the bluetooth connection from my phone to the radar detector That is annoying when I am driving and trying to be hands free and then I have to pull over to connect back to the radar detector Please fix this issue             Chad Kitchens
