I ve been using this app and controlling my Honeywell thermostat in my home for a few years now and I think it s great I can conveniently monitor and set my T stat using my Samsung smartphone from anywhere It saves me energy and I can find my HVAC system adjusted properly per my request when I arrive home I was wondering if I could do the same in my Motorcoach as long as I have Wi Fi connection Please advise Thanks Rick                     Richard Novicki

The thermostat works to perfection There is only one thing that I would have preferred to have some control over that being the differential between the temperature at which the thermostat turns the compressor off and the temperature which the compressor turns back on This all happens in less than one degree This is fine for maintaining the temperature but bad in that the compressor start frequency is much too frequent I would love this thermostat if I could change differential                     Stephen Chunn

Serviceable but I wish I could say the same for the thermostats it supports It appears the only way to remove a bad thermostat from a location is to delete the entire location in the account and rebuild it with only the thermostat s that aren t failing to connect If I ever need to do anything with my wifi ever again apparently I m going to need to replace these seven year old thermostats altogether and hope the new ones are secure against the usual IoT vulnerabilities                 Kevin McGehee

I find this app extremely helpful Its easier to program the thermostat with the app than on the thermostat face Never fails that when we leave the house on a weekend we forget to turn off the A C Now we just pull up the app and turn it off Same in reverse when we are 45 min away from home we can easily turn the A C back on I ve had no issues exiting the app runs in the background Go to open running apps and close it No big deal                     Edward Hempe

Easy to use Good scheduling for saving money EDIT was 5 They lock you out if you don t want to share your usage temperature settings time connected email address physical address etc I wanted a thermostat that I could control when away and this does that but your privacy doesn t matter By the way this is NOT Honeywell it is a software company that will more than likely be selling your private home preferences     Carl Zakraysek

Just installed the app with my new thermostat and really like it A couple of additions that would be more beneficial as others have stated One would be to have a differential setting for timing of the fan to run after the AC turns off Also I would like to see more logging features like how many minutes per day the unit is running in AC mode This would help alert the user if the unit is leaking refrigerant and needs a charge I may be able to tell that by the monthly report but having daily access to that information would be very beneficial                     Andy Grimm

This app is very convenient if you have the correct thermostat It s nice to be able to set A C or heat prior to arriving home or without getting out of bed Occasionally it has a hard time connecting hence the 4 stars I would like the feature added to set a timer for the fan as I need to circulate the air in my 2 story house to keep the temp even                 Greg Ong

It works but looks like an iPhone app from 2010 I moved into a house with a Honeywell thermostat already installed The user interface on the thermostat itself is not intuitive Most of the buttons don t have labels and I would not have been able to set this up if it wasn t for some YouTube videos I never wanted a WiFi thermostat but if I had to buy another one I think i would opt for another brand     Josh Dobbs

Almost a great app It lost 2 stars because it does not appear in apps on my phone Every time I want to open it I have to go to play store to do it Other than that it works just like the thermostat on the wall Nope Does not aporar anywhere Went through all app settings and searches Still have to go to app store to use it             T Williams

I just installed a Honeywell WiFi thermostat 8 20 19 and the instructions stated to use this app I downloaded it installed it and initially it worked fine but then through the late evening and next day it wouldn t connect with the server and kept giving me server errors and it s still not connecting as i type this It was intermittent yesterday but hasn t connected at all today Edit 8 21 19 i uninstalled and reinstalled and seems to be working fine now                     Phil Fowler

Control your thermostat and give up any and all personal data allowing a huge breach in personal security FOR A THERMOSTAT CONTROL APP In order to use the app you have to agree to basically give the company complete permission to collect store and use any and all data as they see fit Audio and video as well I cannot endorse or use this app until data collection is optional and not force people to give up personal data Before this change it was handy Now the app is useless     Zeon Man

First time using a smart t stat This was very easy to install and program much easier than my old Hunter digital t stat One thing I hope Honeywell fixes is when I set a temporary temperature but only want to maintain that for a couple hours I have to tap the Hold Until button dozens of times to get to the desired time It only moves in 15 min increments getting from AM to PM or back again is a LONG way This can easily be fixed with a software update             Mike Mallette

Worked fine for 4 months now it keeps losing connection to WiFi Tried reboot and reinstalling app still keeps losing connection Was on phone with support for 15 minutes had me do all kinds of things Finally admitted there is a problem with app would be fixed in 2 days 2 weeks later still doesn t work     Jeff Kyle

I got to use the app ONCE And ever since then it hasn t worked We bought this thermostat for being able to control your device through wifi 200 thermostat and I can t even use it for the reason I bought it Could ve went with a way cheaper one without wifi if I would ve known this wasn t going to work So many complaints this year about this yet there hasn t been an update since last year     LilAlicat

This app is a good start but has a few glaring issues 1 when you hit the back button to close the app after opening it it doesn t close the app but instead takes you to the login screen very confusing 2 There s no easy way to see past usage I just want a graph of how many minutes of runtime my furnace or AC unit had per day 3 It needs a vacation button that sets all thermostats in a home to preset vacation temperatures 4 This feels like a web page not a native app         Brandon Zehm

I immediately hate this app it forces you into landscape mode and doesn t allow you to shift the screen so you can see the temperature So when you set the thermostat from your phone you are essentially guessing If this is the best that Honeywell can do then Nest is going to dominate them on the market         Justin Stein

I bought this to connect to google or alexa They wont turn the fan on its either heat or cool but no fan option which was one of the main options we wanted furthermore the device doesnt have an independant web interface you have to connect online tcc I prefer an independant interface and not having to connect to their cloud Just feel like another company collecting data     Guy St-Louis

Have had this for about a year and works pretty good but a could use a couple of more features the Venstar unit I replaced with this would show the history of unit running This would help in scheduling more efficiently to manage my power use or maybe an AI feature that knows my pattern and preferences and makes my home comfortable that way similar to the nest 2019 is all about data and history             AnDrew Pennington

The app works well for me My only complaint is that the description in Play Store says the app allows you to View thermostat alerts such as high or low temperature This happened to me I left home for a ski vacation Luckily my wife did not go with me Just a few hours after I left she called and told me the boiler was off I don t know if I was supposed to call up the app as a routine check in case there was an alert but a temperature drop really needs to bring up a notification                 Cliff Lewis

Its a functional app but feels dated It doesn t run as smooth as you would think it should Making a schedule is difficult on this thing Some things I d like to see would be a a better interface graphics wise the ability to lock and unlock the thermostat from my mobile device and the app icon to show current temperature along with set temp             Dustin Heuck

Terrible I paid add 800 for two thermostats the hub link with new Goodman system I used the app to control my thermostats Free for several years with no issues Today I got message to update the pjone app and blindly accepte it and that was the end of happy marriage Now changed from Free to Subscription Fees that was not applicable at time of purchase I bought the free App and service Now I have to pay to control my thermostat What a shame on Honeywell     Hamada

Great useful app that is easy to navigate through Super easy to adjust settings and to connect to the internet However I wish there was a lock out control that I could use with this app Kids keep changing setting and I have to keep checking it with this app                 Adam Sparks

I Like this app The web portal allows user to set alerts Although alerts may arrive later than expected Also the app must be registered on the web portal even if one is only interested in accessing the thermostat through one s wi fi and not remotely through the internet Finally it absolutely requires the C wire otherwise some AC fan functionality is lost             User1 User

I am a senior with mobility issues I love the convenience of being able to adjust my thermostat without having to walk up to it I can also adjust it to use less energy when i am away from the house and then reset it again later so I ll be comfortable from the moment I walk back in                     Carolyn Payk

app works rather well but it would be definitely nice to have a separate time schedule override for the fan function for house air filtration for people with bad allergies this would alleviate the need for the stat to have the Circ function so all Wi Fi stats would now have it and I like the fan just at night between 10 and 12 it s a white noise generator to go to sleep                 Dave Berchak

The app is a little too simplified The drawbacks are mentioned in other reviews but the one that gets me the most is not being able to refresh the app to see the change in temperature or to see the thermostat status In order to do these the app has to be closed and reopened Also the visual confirmation of submitted change i e changing temperature is too subtle just a minute fluctuation in brightness making it difficult to know if the changes have taken effect             kamen kunev

Have had this app for three years now Absolutely love it Our old furnace was on the fritz while we were away for a month We knew to call our repairman thanks to this apps notifications Way less expensive than frozen pipes The only improvement that could be made would be when setting up a new thermostat if the app were able to access link it via Wi Fi When we purchased a new thermostat setting up the new one was a nightmare If the app could assist that would be glorious                     Kim Robbins

Update changed orientation but now you can t see bottom temp setting buttons nor can you read what you set the temperature too making it not very useful This is on a Google Pixel 2 Update If I lower resolution on my device it works again unfortunate that it won t run at the higher resolution Response from support and knowing a workaround is helpful so increasing rating I do not have connectivity issues like others but I have stable wifi so that likely helps                 Jason Carlson

Installed the thermostat after watching some videos on the internet My old unit had 5 wires and were morked and color coded correctly The only incident was my white wire terminal would not hold the wire in tight I pushed it in and it is better but I think I will contact tech support on Monday and let them know All the other wires were tight The unit itself set up and works like a charm Overall I am very happy with it And Alexa enjoys it too                     Stephen PremDas
