Feature Request We can t open two shortcut simultaneously because it open ups shortcut inside the app doesn t redirect shortcut to the other app Example Like i had created two image shortcuts and opened the first shortcut and choosed gallery1 to open it i can see the photo then i moved to the second shortcut without killing the previous task or shortcut i opened and choosed gallery2 different gallery app to open it now what i see is previous shortcut which i opened                 Kshatriya Kol

Loved it but it didn t work with Android 9 Pie Then I found there is a File Shortcut v2 I downloaded it and it works just fine                     Al Y

Instructions not too clear for this app To use select a home screen where you have room for shortcut you are going to create Hold down on screen and select Widgets then select File Shortcut from the Widgets After you drag the widget to the screen you will then be taken to a screen where you can find the file by using File Manager or other if you have more than one or Gallery You can then rename it and change the icon Great app in my opinion just needs a decent help file or above instructions                     Mannypl Peter Mann

This is fantastic I have been going mad to try to copy and paste a movie from File Manager to my homescreen and could not do it This app is so simple and just so amazing I was pleasantly surprised that once I had clicked and chosen share in File Manager then clicked on File Shortcut in the box that all I had to do was to click ok when your screen came up and there was my movie photograph on my home screen No setup to have to work through as it was all automatic Voila Thank you so much                     Fantastic app Carole Parker

From your file manager go to the file that you want a shortcut for Long hold it and choose Share Choose this app to share it to The app will open where the default is the filename and location Choose your icon for the shortcut And you re done It s very simple It s ashame that the screen shots above didn t include how to get to the screens shown smh                 It works for files only but no instructions Mi Gr

App works as advertised BUT every time I have to power down the phone or pull the battery any document shortcuts that I created disappear from the desktop I have emailed the developer 5 times about this problem u0026 they refuse to acknowledge or answer any support emails So a good app but the developer refuses to offer any support It would also be very helpful if even simple app instructions were available they are currently not         Wss great but David Knapp

I worked on a story I am writing and I tried to upload it to drive The app said it couldn t be shared and then I tried to save and the app said cannot save Then I finally got it to save and exited I tried to get back in and it said somethings wrong and closed the app Good bye three pages of my story and thanks a lot app dev Wish he would do something about it but it won t happen     Documents Ty H

Very useful app How to use this app Option 1 for old android versions may less than 4 A Add widget to the home screen B Find widget with the name File Shortcut Complete the File Shortcut screen which appears which looks like the 1st screen short of the app in the playstore C Click ok D Go back to home screen and the file short cut should be there Option 2 for old and new android versions A Launch a file explorer app e g File Wrangler Free and only needs SD Card access permissions File Manager by simplemobiletools B Browse to the folder which contains the file in question C Select and hold the file in question and then click the share icon or equivalent menu option and select File Shortcut from the list D Complete the File Shortcut screen which appears which looks like the 1st screen short of the app in the playstore E Click ok F Go back to home screen and the file short cut should be there                     Fahad Zafar

In my opinion this functionality should really be a part of the Android operating system But as it s not this app is as unobtrusive as possible It needs to be used together with a file manager application Of course a file manager should also be part of the stock Android installation                     Excellent does just what it says Kurt Kaufman

For those of us who download magazines PDFs Excel workbooks and Word documents to our Droids it saves having to dig through app folders to get to the file you want The best part for PDF magazines it saves and reopens to exactly where you left off reading HUGE help It may be a little tricky for the less tech inclined people but even those people would likely give this 4 stars once they got the hang of it                     Just what I was looking for Grey Mealer

The only drawback the file selection from the app itself seems broken the built in browser shows folders like downloads to be empty and when I asked it to use the system one it did but I wasn t able to select files they were greyed out The simple solution is to share files for the app from the file manager of choice this worked well for me                     Does what it s supposed to Jakub D.

I have no idea even how to begin using this app There are no instructions it tells me I need to share the file to the app from my file manager I can t find out how to do it So when you make this more user friendly and add actual instructions or maybe a tutorial then I ll reconsider re downloading Not all of us are tech savvy Some of us need a little help and this app does not provide any     Not user friendly Nicole Sadler

This works great to replace the missing feature in JB It was a bit confusing at first to understand how to use it So to clarify you need to click on the file you want to create a shortcut for and Share it to the program Same way you share a file over Bluetooth                 Fills the need of Jellybean Jay Amuze

Annoyingly my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 1 running Android 4 1 2 doesn t give me the option to create shortcuts to my files on my Home page Using this wonderful little app overcomes that problem Well done                     Does exactly what I want John Gold

Takes a bit of understanding to figure out how to make the icons on the home screen but once you do it s a lifesaver I would recommend an option from opening the app of choosing the file then creating the icon instead of having to export the file to the app it s confusing to a number of people                     Exactly what I needed Lucas Carthew

This app is great if you re tired of having to look for your files I d like to see the ability to update already created shortcuts but that s minor You can always delete and recreate a shortcut that needs changing I d have given it 5 stars but the app is not totally intuitive and it lack documentation                 Works well Better than the others I tried Billrm Martin

This is a great and useful app widget But on the Samsung T231 all the shortcut pictures are replaced with the generic green arrow everytime the tablet is restarted or when a system update is made On my other devices the pictures seem to hold well                     Great A Google user

This app was great for quite some time Very simple easy to use but now it no longer works After I restart my phone all shortcuts that I have made disappear without a trace             Clark Batko

Works like it is supposed to Only thing I wanted to note is that you should make sure your default program for the file you are making a shortcut for is set other wise it will it may not open the file and when you go to reopen it will say already open I just reset my phone when this happens and it clears No complaints other than that which is avoidable                     Should be a part of the default system David Nielsen

Brilliant little app Just too cool I love it The instructions are very vague You can tell that he thought he did give clear instructions but he didn t do it from an I ve never seen this type of app before and I didn t even know you could do that in Android viewpoint So you re pretty much on your own But all ya gotta do is to Share the file to this app ignore all the crap in the screen that comes up then tap the bar at the bottom that says OK or something like that and it will create the Shortcut for your file on your Home Screen That s it Done                     Dave Raymond

I wanted shortcuts to all my Final Fantasy games but needed to create shortcuts to the gameboy advance games FF 1 2 5 6 FF 3 and 4 are android and 7 8and9 are Epsxe which can create shortcuts This app solved my problem and I now have a Homescreen completely dedicated to Final Fantasy                     Fantastic Andrew Ungar

GREAT APP BUT THERE S A CAVEAT This app is perfect for setting up quick access to any files even on your SD Card However this app should never be MOVED to the SD Card as the next reboot will replace any special icons for the shortcuts with the generic bent arrow icon that the app uses and all shortcut labels will be defaulted to the words File Shortcut which pretty much defeats the purpose of this app as every shortcut looks the same and is labeled the same Moving the app back to the SYSTEM storage won t fix the problem until after all shortcuts are re built but once that is done future re boots will not alter the icons or the labels                     A Google user
