I ve tried at least a half dozen other apps mainly for the GPS distances on a map This one is my favorite by far because it DOESN T use satellite based imagery which is hard to see on a phone screen in sunny conditions iGolf uses nice high contrast renderings of each hole and makes viewing the hole and your position much easier                     Davin Lim

Graphical view of hole much easier to see than the satellite views of other apps You can pick any spot on the hole to measure to There are handy optional overlay lines showing distances from the tee 100 150 200 250 300 Needs data connection to start application each time and also to pick load a course You can only pick one home course and even it needs a data connection to start using it for the round Once started then you can turn off data and play the round Scoring is simple and does not pre fill in anything You can check fairway hit or Green It does not figure out green in regulation on it s own So for those without data you will have to start the round at home and then continue at the course                 Elwin King

Booked tee time Golf course had no record of it Showed them email receipt and they honored it App crashed after 1st hole Running mobile app on LG G3 I like the graphics and would like to use it but will NOT until app is stable         Unreliable A Google user

Yardages are good One problem is when you have hit a stray shot onto or on the margin of another fairway the app leaves the current hole and changes to the hole where the ball has landed Try as you might you cannot get it back to the hole you were busy playing Also when you walk off the green to the new tee the system changes to the next hole before you have entered your score If you enter scores the app should stay on the previous hole until you have recorded your score I like the idea that it picks up the next hole but most golfers only enter their score after they have walked off the green they just finished The distances of hazards are indicated but it does not tell you if it is to the hazard or to clear the hazard This information is critical in some instances             Able Seaman Stane
