WV 511 Drive Safe

The WV 511 Drive Safe is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.32 has been released on 2014-11-19. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. The description of the application says In the settings menu you can customize the app to play advisories for specific roadways and adjust the advisory replay interval and the number of miles radius for which you are interested in receiving advisories however there doesn t seem to be any way to access these settings I ll rate higher if this is fixed or clarified and if it performs well in testing Edit With the update the setting menu wrench icon now becomes available Sometimes it takes a while though as it seems to depend on how quickly the application is able to determine the current location My only annoyance with the application now is that it remains in portrait orientation while it s in my car dock which is landscape orientation Reading the interface sideways takes some practice                 Updated interface u0026 description issues David Wills

Great app that does exactly what is described I cannot fathom why people would be complaining about not having any video COME ON PEOPLE you are supposed to be paying attention to the road and your driving not playing with your phone This morning it gave me two advisories pinpointed by the mileage markers All I had to do was listen No taking my eyes off the road or fiddling with a map I only wish that the app covered other states as well Job well done by the developer s                     Excellent app Arden Tohill

I honestly have no idea what some of the other reviewers are talking about We just passed a law prohibiting texting and they want video and maps on a DRIVING app And the description says no video So why post a rating on a feature that s not mentioned I m OK without wrecking while checking where that wreck may be on a map And of course it s going to have the features of the website Know why Your data usage would go through the roof and you d stop using the app since you can t afford the data And it does indeed have a settings area It s the graphic of the wrench that s smack dab on the main screen near the top in the middle So not misleading It s all there and does exactly as it s supposed to So as far as extra frills and stuff I don t need I m fine with it considering all those taxes we complain about they paid for the app to be free and does exactly as promised Sure it can get an upgrade But for now it s a minimalist app that does what we need now Too many bells and whistles now means a nightmare if there are issues and the app being useless For being free and doing precisely what the description says it does five stars for now                     At this stage I m surprised it s not terrible B 5tark

The concept of this app is wonderful The execution is a little off It needs to show location on a map or be integrated with google maps Any incedents can have a dot Press the dot see hear the report If your driving toward a report it automatically alerts you             Keep up the good work Jake Thunderstriker

I m unable to view traffic cams on my mobile browser So I thought off I downloaded the app I d be able to see the traffic cams Nope only thing you get is voice recording saying rd maintenance from 8am to 4pm This app would be good if we could see the cams     What a joke Luticia Bennett

Without traffic maps and or traffic cameras it s kinda USELESS When we travel we like to check out the traffic ahead of us and we always use traffic cameras and traffic maps so we can make plans for alternate routes in advance to avoid sitting in traffic         Kinda USELESS P.D. Kelchner
