I bought this app years ago and it worked well but it is terrible now I m very sorry to say Cannot recommend App crashes Cannot check analysis Cannot log into Facebook Uninstalled and reinstalled and problem persisted and in uninstalling I very much unwittingly deleted my history likely due to aforementioned Facebook issue Would like to curse profusely in this review but will not in the hope someone will actually see it and avoid losing their data Fix your app     Charlie Horowitz

have used this app for a number of years and it was great this year however it is constantly pausing mid days tracking this in effect only records about 5k skiing which is pretty pointless needs to be resolved now resolved to be fair very quickly back to a good recording app                 Gary Brown

Doesn t work on Samsung S7 edge I loved the app on my old Sony and raved about it to all my friends Since I installed it on my S7 Edge it has never worked Real pity because it used to be great Come on ST team get a fix out there ASAP     johnny huyton

UNCONSISTENT DATA WARNING Myself and my partner have both purchased this app and decided to test it out while skiing We ve been using this for 10 different ski days now and I m sad to say that whilst we ski together stop together and get on every lift together the app is inconsistent and show different data for both our trackings My partner would have 9 runs while I have 33 runs Ski distance is of 10k difference It s ridiculous how do we know what s reliable     Elaine Chin

I used this app two yrs ago and it was very good I tried to use it agin on My Samsung s7and it was useless It failed to record correctly supposedly because of the power saving programmes on the phone The only data that was correct was the ski time When you then disabled the battery power saving options to enable the app to work which it appears to do it totally drains your phone battery in a couple of hours When I used it before I would have highly rated it Won t be using it in future         paul ryan

Like many others I am now disappointed with what was a great app in previous years It keeps stopping and providing inaccurate notifications I have not changed my phone but I do install the updates I have a Samsung Note 4 and it runs on Adroid 6 0 1 When I last used it I was notified that the app was using power incorrectly which results in rapid battery drainage Unfortunately I cannot currently recommend this app     Malcolm Gordon

Good app but I wish there were more specific settings for units It s either all US or all metric I would like to see my speed in km h but my vertical in feet instead of meters                 Robert Wahl

Worked great on Pixel 2 10AM 3PM use brought battery from 98 to around 75 which isn t bad and obviously it wasn t the only app running during that time I did pause it while indoors at lunch I like the simple interface which favors key functions and usability over dazzling me with color If I could ask for another feature it would be more around the analysis one views after the day in particular to make it easy to see where exactly my highest speed was achieved                     PJ Gifford

It s a great app and I use it every time I hit the slopes or head into the backcountry The Max Speed readout will end up being the death of me since I constantly try to set a new record The only glitch I ve found is that the edits to tracks in history where you add a name rating snow conditions etc tend to get lost I love all the data collected mapping and individual run stats                     Charlie Meienberg

Used this app for multiple seasons and was very happy with it Last season 2018 it didn t work anymore always stopped itself without restarting After my Holliday I saw there was an update to improve use with OnePlus which I have hoped it would be good again in 2019 nope still completely worthless Rubbish always pauses and doesn t restart Not acceptable for an app you paid for     Pieter Vrijens

Used this for a week on my samsung S8 no problems at all Bear in mind when someone says it doesn t work on Android what they mean is that they couldn t get it to work on their device for some reason It clearly does work for others like me Also bear in mind that GPS altitude accuracy is only about 20 metres in good conditions I really like the ability to save each day and email GPX files and screenshots amd replay your day on the map highly recommended                     Edwin Field

I love ski tracks but it doesn t seem to be being updated of late Each new phone I get i have to work out complicated settings to ensure reliable recording the symptom otherwise is it randomly stops recording It would be great to see Ski Tracks keep up with newer versions of Android and phone manufacturers tweaks such as power management in EMUI                     Richard Webber

Have used this app for quite a few years first with iOS then with Android It s disappointing Today it showed 41 runs when in fact 16 were skied as shown correctly in the graph But each of the analyses showed a different number The speed is invariably overstated by about 30 40 I m searching for better ski apps         Cathy Speight

Xiaomi Users MIUI note This is a wonderful app that works really well and captures all your winter sports stats However if you are a Xiaomi Redmi user of MIUI software you may need to alter the battery settings if you lose GPS To do this go to settings battery choose apps then select Ski Tracks and ensure the app is set to No Restrictions and you should be good to go You will then be able to enjoy this great little app                     John Rose

installed this for my second week of snowboarding It does everything i need and does it very well I like the export to Google Earth for a 3 D view Would be nice if the maps were selectable Open Hiking Map or some such with contours but you can t have everything For a free app it s totally brilliant and I m sorry I can t give it more than 5 stars                     Graham OBrien

Would give 0 stars if I could A complete waste of money Had it switched on for 3 days in the Three Vallies and it never obtained a GPS fix I switched off power saving and did everything that was advised but to no avail Maps Google Strava etc all obtained a GPS fix with less than 30 seconds but Ski Tracks didn t get a fix Would uninstall if I hadn t paid for it but perhaps one day it will work and I can actually use it Don t bother paying for this app     Peter Goadby

the app could have been great 5star if the app didnt pause all the time by it self set a locking code to do action to it like start stop pause and more and also create a function where you can program the app to start and stop logging under an intervall like start logging between 08 45 and 16 30 each day for a week a scheduler that would be just awesome         Lennie Fredriksson

Flat out does not work on OnePlus 5 Bought the app for a trip out west after hearing how great this app is At best tracked 1 run for the day and at worst tracked nothing Why did tracking pause on its own Am I expected to check that its tracking on every chairlift up Would return for a refund if I could but it s after 48 hrs Here s hoping for an update     Jeffrey Cantono

Excellent app for logging ski trips I m starting my third season with it One star off because the gpx export is still incompatible with any other program I have especially Garmin Not even GPSBabel can read it SOLUTION I recently discovered that GPSVisualizer online can convert this gpx to a fully readable gpx file easily Looking into the file this appears to be caused by the way Ski Tracks expresses time                 A Google user

A reasonable app for recording runs but it looks and feels incredibly clunky when compared with something like Strava The Android app has a couple of issues which warrant the 3 rating in my opinion No way to dismiss the persistent notification without Force Stopping it The app pauses recording on its own not related to low battery and there s no way of configuring when this happens I ve missed a number of ski runs for this reason when I ve wanted it to record my whole day             Alex Silcock

Works very well on Samsung S8 One suggestion some dialogs e g confirmation for pause show in dark blue letters on black background hard to see on a bright day White letters would work better I also have a spooky feeling that the app overestimates the peak speed at least while skiing in Europe in the US it felt reasonable The speed is reported in km h on both continents Must be paranoia on my part                     Sergey Liberman

Worked great I was most surprised with how little battery drain it caused The metrics are nice Noticed a few issues with cutting off the tail or beginning parts of runs But otherwise just turned it on and left it in my pocket the whole ski day and it tracked very well Would be nice if it could sync well with Google Fit                     Keshav Budwal

I have used this app fo 4 years to track daily sking times conditions weather and notes of importance It works well and allows me to monitor yearly goals including vertical ft and distance very cool tool One issue is that occurs each time is that the star rating and notes disappear once app is closed and I end up entering them twice it s mildly annoying                 J Igres

Have usee this app for years Great app but only 3 stars because this season it seems to be using up battery MUCH faster than ever before I ve needed to use my external battery pack every time I ve been skiing this year in the past I ve only needed it for a really long day             Peter Naughton

works pretty well very cool to look back at my trail I use it for snowmobiling and it s obviously so much cheaper than garmin stuff I m disappointed in the track export function as it doesnt work with Garmin basecamp when I import kmz or gpx files created from Skitracks into Basecamp all I see is start and end point of track                 Ryan Dyjur

a lot can be improved does NOT work if I do not turn another app to measure use GPS I have to turn on another app to measure my skiing so that this one can show any measurement instead of 0 00 after few hours of skiing I worked better in previous versions I had Sony Xperia Z2 approximately 5 years ago and it worked like a charm but on Samsung S9 if I turn only this app I get time spent skiing ok but distance calories etc 0 00 if I turn Samsung Excersise aswell it works     Ivy Poison

I ve used this app for years and loved it but it hasn t worked once this season Attempted 4 5 times I ve deleted and re installed it multiple times and it still won t properly track my day on the hill Frustrating when you ve paid money for the app     Drew Hanrahan

worst app I ve used for tracking my skiing used a free one last year and it worked fine and this year I decided to pay for it and it s turned out shocking even though my 4g was on it kept notifying me saying GPS signal lost and when I went on the app it had incorrect speed measurements being on 0 for half an hour then saying 3 5 mph after it very poor app     Tom Midds

As reported by others the application spontaneously stops recording Phone used is a OnePlus 6T Oxygen OS 9 0 3 Android 9 0 All power management was explicitly disabled for the app power use unrestricted to no avail Google will not issue refund for this broken app Avoid like the plague     Kevin Venalainen

Skitracks app is failing to record for more than 2km of skiing This is a new issue did not have this problem last season I have checked my app settings and it is not possible to allow the app to run in the background hope it can be fixed i ve lost 20days of data     A Google user

Used to love this app Now it s basically useless No matter what I do what settings I change the tracking CONSISTENTLY pauses itself This may only happen on certain phones but I m not the only one with this issue Fix your broken app     Andrew
