Boy Scouts of America , the publisher behind many Android apps (Jamboree Summit App ,PatchScan), brings PatchScan with a number of new features along with the usual bug fixes. PatchScan apps has been update to version 1.1.2 with several major changes and improvements. Apps release that improves performance, provides several new options.

The PatchScan is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. The new PatchScan app version 1.1.2 has been updated on 2014-11-18. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Here is the app`s compatibility information: 2.3 and up
UPDATE Cant open the CameraScanner I just downloaded this app to test drive it when I received my Jamboree patches today I entered my birthdate still dont know why and opened the app Every time I hit the camera button to scan a patch the app crashes Please fix this before Jamboree otherwise this will be useless UPDATE Good to know that even after an update the app continues to crash upon any attempt to open the camerascanner I leave to staff in less than a week Please fix this soon UPDATE Cant open the CameraScanner
I installed this to check out some of the patches my brother traded at the Jamboree Some of his patched have lost the QR sticker from them and theres not any way to check information on those patches now It would be great if there was a way to browse the database or even search by Council Its a good start on the app but does leave room for improvement Another improvement would be to have the QR readerscanner built into this app instead of opening a separate app Barcode Scanner is the app that I currently use with no problems Not terrible but leaves something to desire
Wish it had its own qr scanner
After I downloaded this it worked great for a few days and now all I get is the error message saying the scan was canceled This could be very helpful as I am leaving for NOAC in a few days Scan Canceled Error
The camera and scanner work fine except that when the QR code shows up as a patch scan website it is still listed as an unauthorized patch Which makes me think that this is at best a mediocre QR code scanner Interesting
Links to alreadyinstalled app Whats the point You have to have a QR reader installed in order to use this When I hit the camera button it just links to my QR reader already installed If the app crashes at this point for you try downloading QR Reader and try from there What is the point of the app when I can just use my QR Reader Great idea though Cant wait to use it at jamboree Links to alreadyinstalled app Whats the point
Doesnt work I have tried to use it on three different samsung galaxy phones Stops working on all of them as soon as I hit the scan button Doesnt work
