Many mention the request for usage access Astro uses this to monitor app usage in order to tell about apps you rarely use I don t need that feature so I haven t granted usage access for Astro When Astro requests this access only the grant access button is visible but by scrolling down a little the deny access appears This is a dodgy approach by the developers and I believe they are losing a lot of users due to this Usage access can be revoked within Android app special settings Trygve Ottesen
It was an amazing app but then it tried forcing me to enable usage tracking This app does not need to know what other apps I use how often I use them etc There is no need besides taking my data and selling it The explanation as to why was vague and makes no sense Most people don t understand what usage tracking does and this app takes advantage of that Make this option non mandatory or honest and I ll do 5 stars I wouldnt even care if this move had at least been done in a nonshady way CatLadyish
Astro is a bit like the Missing Manual books in that it should be included from there start I ve always assumed data management systems PC s tablets phones etc would include a robust user accesible and user friendly file managment application That s just a no brainer to me Without one you re really just an interested observer and it feels kind of like riding in a car with no steering wheel Call me an old school geek if you want but yes I d like a steering wheel please Tom Davis
Used to be the best of the best now they have decided to take and collect mobile data and share it with whoever pays them enough to be a trusted client under the guise of mobile data research this INCLUDES data OUTSIDE of their own application This includes things like how you use your phone how many calls and texts you get how many apps you have and how long you spend in each one Charles Hockenbury
Yikes used to be good until Astro tried to force you to allow it to track all the other apps you use or else you can t even get past the opening screen It worked just fine in previous versions when it didn t try to play Big Brother so obviously it s not necessary and they just want your data Find a better app Karizma H.

Decided to download and try this against my favorite ES File Explorer for LAN streaming there is no comparison this app couldn t even connect to my Synology media server nor Plex media server nor has a LAN scan feature for finding servers on my network And when launching the app the splash screen stays up for at least 30 seconds before any file resources are displayed And this app is award winning what a joke uninstalling just another s Android file manager Lance Faure
