The new CTV News GO app version 1.0.76 has been updated on 2014-01-9. Generally good Relevant timely and informative although generally quite superficial but then I don t expect to much in depth analysis in this particular medium Editorially a little left for my liking I prefer a balance where I can make informed choices Grammar and spelling well that s another matter To much faith in autocorrect and too little proof reading But nevertheless a good useful newsfeed                 John Krych

Good content but poor design After choosing a news section World Canada etc and reading through that section you have to scroll all the way back to the top to choose another section Also app doesn t work at all if you use a VPN connecetion it thinks there is no Internet connection So if you re trying to protect your info on public wi fi you re out of luck trying to use this app         Sean Alexander

i am having trouble with the internet connection I uninstalled the app and then downloaded it again i still cannot open the app this This is now September 6 and I still get oops no internet connection I downloaded the update and it does not work     Cathy Lewicki

This used to be a decent 4 star app but the 2 0 update is disappointing to say the least Why was the swipe left feature in v1 5 2 removed when reading the news stories Or am I missing something We used to be able to swipe left to go to the next story or right to the previous Now to go to the next article we have to click back to the news menu swipe down to the next article then click select Please bring back this old feature in your next improved update so that we have less clicks not more Also I have very fast internet connection but the stories load slower now The previous version worked fine and I didn t want to update but the developers prevented it from starting forcing the update Change for the sake of change Are any of the App developers reading the reviews The 1 and 2 stars are really starting to pile up On the positive side at least the app is back up and running and the Error Loading Content is now finally fixed and it only took two days         D McD

Definitely not improved This new version sucks It s slow to load chews up data and is not as nicely laid out as before Everthing is jumbled together and now I can get rid of the videos I m extremely disapointed with this update Why did you try to fix something that wasn t broken Now I frequently get the message error loading content try again I m not interested in spending my time reloading multiple times to get this app to work     D Sutherland

I don t mind the look of the new app although I do prefer the groupings in the old one What I find frustrating with the new app is that I can t get through more than one article without the screen changing to say Oops No internet connection detected Try again Cancel This happens every time No matter where I am I am ready to delete the app altogether Disappointed as I prefer CTV news to others     Lillian Crews

The old version of the app worked much better Now it s too hard to find what I m interested in everything is just jumbled together I ve started using apps for other networks instead and I am using this app much less Tonight I couldn t even get the score from the Leafs game using this app even though I have configured my customizations to show me sports news     Patricia Clarke

This new app is junk I had accepted that it s super disorganized vs the old app and is such an inconvenience with the videos I just want to read the articles not be forced to watch a video I also miss being able to organize the cities i was interested in Having said all that now the new app won t even open Continually for 3 days now says Error loading this content try again I have tried resetting my phone the wifi reinstalling the app What a clusterf k of an app     Island Gumby

Update Its been about 24 hours since they responded and yes the issue seems to be resolved No crashing or connection issues old comment u003e The quality of the news aside the app itself is only okay It works but can crash or lose connection which just blocks out the article No way i can see to download offline articles or anything Though again the app claims to lose connection and basically shut its self out                 Shayne Daly

News stories entertainment world sports etc are all jumbled together with no sense of order Often you ll see the same story in different formats before finding something new Bring back the individual folders labeled World Canada Local so I can have an easier time finding what interests at that moment I don t need to scroll through a dozen local stories to find something international This makes me feel like I m being deliberately directed or led by the nose Poor upgrade     A Google user

Hasn t worked in days I loved the older format it was reliable for my daily news The new layout is choppy and lacks the same flow What makes it worse now though is that it won t open at all Cannot load content I have deleted and reinstalled but the same issue persists Maybe a different news app would work better     Bryan Gesy

I find the new app extremely lacking in organization and separation of categories of topics When I first downloaded the updated app I had some concerns but gave it some time for me to adapt to the new format Unfortunately my dislike of the app has increased to the point I am now using other news apps more and more and CTV less and less     Dave Rudolph

It now takes much longer for many stories to open probably because videos are included I prefer to read rather than watch the news in part because watching involves audio which can be distracting to others in the room You can no longer to go to local news for a major city across Canada You can add a city to your local feed but this is not nearly as good as was offered with the previous version of Newsgo Sometimes you just want to see what is happening that day in another major city         Larry Peters

terrible update I said I didnt want to see sports yet I still see it It repeats stories over uninstalling Updating review 9th of April CTV is obviously working on the issues as it is getting better and a little easier to navigate I still feel like I m missing some news that I would have picked up with the old format but good to see your working on it                 Kathryn Johnson

I hate the new version I liked that everything was organized into categories but now it is just random stuff I read this app on my commute to and from work and before the update every article had a snippet to read and talked about each news event and maybe had an optional video to watch Now I click on an article and some of them only have a video and no words to read so if I am interested in learning more I have to google what happened I may meed to find another app to use         Andrea G

Ever since the app was last updated all I ever get now is a message saying that there was an error loading the content It will not load anything at all I tried removing the app and re installing it but it still fails to start This used to be a very reliable app however it is now the worst app I have     Jason Lyttle
