i thought this was supposed to replace the remote control handset but there are too many things missing for it to do that There are no coloured buttons there is no info button you can t access the services menu to name but a few There are offer issues too like the program list doesn t auto refresh like the on screen TV guide does when the tone changes it s nearly there but dues need a bit more functionality Bob C
Doesn t seem like the search function can be trusted anymore I have had minor issues with the search function but nothing major until today 10 08 19 The film The Bridge on the River Kwai isnt listed in the search results for Channel 5 but is for Sky paid film channels Next I search for The Queens Lost Family which I know is first going to be shown tomorrow on Channel 4 but the only results are for 4seven the following day On the plus side remote recording is still a great function Andrew Watson

Very useful and good that I can control my own box BUT 1 when I click on an entry to get details and then return to go back to the list it always goes back to channel 101 Tedious if I ve been looking at channel 350 2 Could grid style be made a configurable start option Jerry Fox
Good app does what it says on the tin However when changing channel it automatically puts it to the non HD channel even if you select the three digit channel it will change it to non HD Very annoying as I cannot find anything in the settings to change this Ben Thwaites
Was 5 stars now 3 Great to record when you re away from home But something has happened to it that has taken away the option to show pics and also removed the remote so can t change channels or rewind etc while you re at home disappointing Jamie Malin
Sky used to be 5stars Since Sky brought out Q its remove the ability to download sports HD channel maybe others from this app They have also removed a lot of movies that you could download directly to your HD box Cleary trying to make its other products rubbish to up sale the already overpriced Q Paul Logan

I had high expectations for this app because of my confidence in Sky I would classify this app as just about functional Purchased films and TV shows do not show up in the planner When rewinding a live programme it s too easy to switch channels losing the ability to rewind It crashes all the time and occasionally locks up my Sky box so I have to switch off at the plug Being disabled I need the app more because the remote requires too much effort to use than a touchscreen Howard Fox
Not too sure what s going on with this app but neither the zero or clear buttons work when you press keyboard from your phone to find a different channel very frustrating if the channel number you want to watch has a zero in it Niall McHugh

App ok but does not update for example still displays a programme is recording after the programme has recorded You can only set up a recording list via the same Wi Fi your sky box is using and not via mobile network so if you are away from home and you forgot to set record then you have stuffed it Richard Burton

What happened It used to allow changing channel from the app I had to reinstall it Now I can t change channels yes I m on the same network as the Sky box UPDATE I ve sussed it If you re having problems connecting to your Sky box try clearing the cache and removing it Then reinstall Once you ve logged in go to the Planner and it should ask you to sync Allow it to sync and you to change channels plus record update okay that method has stopped working what a load of rubbish Lee Gmail

It is a good app but it s frustrating when you are searching for a tv show by the name but it doesn t come up because you haven t put the exact name in e g searching cleaning up it didn t bring it up even though it starts tonight and I was able to find it on the tv guide It even prompted me to select that show before I had typed the whole title in but still didn t come up Please can you sort this out Pip Grigg

the STV channel has been moved in the listings with no info from sky and now we are unable to put a reminder or even a record request on any programs This is not exeptabl we are paying for this service and sky does not even give us aSTV 1 Why chris goldsmith
Great app to have when you forget to record a programme or even if you want to find a recommended film or programme The app also has a remote feature which is great if you don t happen to have the remote haha also able to view images that are store in your phone and view them on the TV screen Is so easy to use Wesley Marshall
This app is good and I use it on my mobile devices all the time however they want to get a grip of the search function as it does not work properly For example Martin Clunes in a New series called Manhunt when searching using Martin Clunes or Manhunt this programme is not found However I found out when this programme is starting and if you go to the channel and the day and time its there Pretty basic stuff and not working Dropped a star due to lack of basic housekeeping by Sky A Google user

Works great when you are not at home and remember something or speak to someone and thing I d like to watch that Go to the app find the programme on the listings and set it to record I have set things to record in ten minutes time and the recording is on my box waiting for me when I get home Perfect partner app for your Sky account Andy Clifford

Cant set recordings without sign in but apparently there is a problem with my account when doing so needing a call to Sky to sort out I knew I shouldnt have updated Still no channel numbers in planner Subtract one star from my rating Update means no remote record
I think its a pretty good app useful but often the planner doesnt sync up to date for example its currently showing as if it was 5 days ago and I cant find a way to get it to match the current status A sync button would help
If the app wont connect with your Sky box after update do a proper shutdown of your Sky box Hold the power button down until the led indicator goes red It worked for me Had the same problem with Xbox Smartglass app which gave me the idea The developers should include this in the release notes Other than this its a superb app Connection problems

When it works this app is fantastic I use it more than my remote when I can It occasionally freezes in fwd or rwd which can be frustrating but I need to reboot my box a couple of times a week to reconnect it Not something I want to do when I sit down to watch TV this is the second phone Ive had the app on no difference since change Buggy and frustrating at times
Since joining Sky many years ago I have found my TV viewing choice greatly improved The choice of programmes is great and having the package that suits me and my family just great Any problems I may have are always quickly resolved and I have encouraged my friends and family to join Fantastic
Cant get it to work Well I thought this app would be a great idea for when out and about Two problems Firstly you have to be connected to WiFi so if youre not then forget about recording anything Secondly I cannot do anything to my Sky box recorddelete a programme etc unless Im in the same room as it I can access other peoples boxes using WiFi in the same way but this out and about thing doesnt work Somewhat confused Cant get it to work
I put this on my phone Every time I have to search for my box but after search I can still use it that is till I disconnect from the internet then I have to search again On my tablet it doesnt even attempt to retain the search info is totally useless Why does this not retain save the info Surely anyone with half a brain cell when designing this app thought that we would need a save function or auto search for known boxes Disappointed do not recommend unless you enjoy frustration Useless Or near enough
Many HDSD channel numbers are wrong BBC2 HD is 142 instead of 102 Sky1 HD is 217 instead of 106 and there are many other examples Otherwise its a reasonable app Could do better
Great to be able to remote record view planner and control sky box BUT Constantly crashes if not force stopped after use Tv Guide dont match up with channels on my box So trying to record or change to BBC One Scot HD will record SD BBC Lon Good functions but glitchy

Every couple of weeks the app stops finding my SkyHD box and the only way to sort this is to do a planner rebuild on the box This has been going on for over a year why is it that Sky cannot sort this problem Needs constant planner rebuilds

Three weeks ago I updated this app and it completely stopped working wouldnt even open I was just about to leave a negative review when I decided to try a reinstall so I uninstalled and then reinstalled Works perfectly now no hiccups For anyone else whos having problems this might be worth a try Update on the latest update
