If you are Android owner,you now can download Ancestry for free from Google Play. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version Varieswithdevice has been released on 2014-11-27. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Here is the app`s compatibility information: 2.1 and up

The search filters are too limited compared to the online version No option to select country for example In one case it would only show records using maiden name I wanted to search census but no option to exclude voter lists Etc Also Comments are not included even a view only option Can t view some sources Image not available See details below and there s nothing except the title         S Kennedy

This app has been very buggy for a long time Latest upgrade just downloads and fails to install over and over again I usually have to uninstall old version to upgrade It will not let me add family by clicking icons I have to do everything from menu If you minimize the screen you lose everything and have to start over The app worked decent a year ago         David Blaine

Good app to keep track of your family tree With the last upgrade the ancestor place function has been added It s a great feature but it unfortunaltely misplaces a lot of place you insert expecially if we are talking about small villages instead of big cities I suggest you to give users the possibility to manually put a marker on the map e g as you can do on google maps in case the app can t find the place we are looking for                 Sara Pepi

App no longer interfaces with Find A Grave When I try to view the record the app does not allow connection to Find a grave website EDIT 3 15 app still doesn t link with Find a grave EDIT 8 31 Find a grave is still not accessible and now this app is having trouble accessing records and forget adding records it s impossible I m now wondering if Ancestry is just trying to screw the app up to increase the website numbers or something     Katrina Diane Walker

I ve been with Ancestry for awhile now They have alot of good things on there Alot more than what I see too The problem is a great big technical issue Most the time when I go on there s usually things I don t get to see because they are apologising to me about things I don t get to see But their always working on it They say I ve heard this from others too Alot of what they have they have gotten from the very people who provide it that are users Where is the records         Ruby Milke

I have found out so much about my family with ancestry 4 stars because the interface is good but desktop or PC is a lot better however there is just so much that I can t really think of any way that it could be improved it s just something that you only get the fullness of the experience on a computer Great program though                 Sarah Letko

Ancestry can t seem to find any information about me Marriage or divorce documents so I searched for my ex husband and even with filters on I have searched through thousands of records and can t find him either Very frustrating It s a good app but it s not that user friendly Maybe it s because I m using a mobile app                 Sher Parker

Lies about 2 week free trial Make sure you cancel before that 2 week mark as it s actually a 13 day trial I was charged on the 14th day while trying to cancel Customer service is useless as well They apparently dont do monthly subscription refunds regardless of circumstances     Ryan Watson

Great tool to begin finding ancestors Took a bit of getting used to moving around the tree and learning how to deal with duplicates but now I love it on my phone I can go into it at odd moments I have and add a little more                 Tina West

I have an account with Ancestry but when I tried downloading this app it kept spinning its wheels giving me error messages I was hoping to access my account easily through this app but apparently not gonna happen I uninstalled immediately after I downloaded it Not the first time I tried either so save yourself some frustration     Marjorie Parker

Love this app I was put up for adoption when I was born so for a couple of decades I didn t know any blood relatives I have since met my biological father and his family along with and my biological mother and many of her kin This app has introduced me to many more relatives I love meeting them on Ancestry                     Loretta Love Huff

I love the site The app however never does everything it is suppose to do It freezes up more then works and is more of a show and look then do any work on I have tried cleaning out my phone to give it room to do more Nothing I have had a few good days I was able to go through hints and add people so I m not going to give it lower stars When it works it is fine             brandy barber

I had to yank this app from my Motorola G6 Play a year and a half ago as there severe issues I noticed that it was upgraded and decided to try it again and voila It works beautifully now Not only that the latest version is a huge upgrade and improvement Fun to use and with more features I especially love the family tree view where you can expand collapse branches Also really digging the DNA features too Good job you guys and gals at ancestry         Brett Clark

Stuck on Choose a Tree Page Won t Let Me Access Menu This app use to not be buggy but has become so over the last couple of months It is continually stuck on the Choose A Tree Page with no way of accessing the three bar menu or backing out to the main page I uninstalled and reinstalled hoping this would solve the problem but it persists As is the mobile app is quite useless Sad because Ancestry services are overall stellar Hoping this can be remedied         Monica Chadwell

I use to not have any issues getting on from my phone but now it just keeps saying error and to check network I have plenty of signal and I m on Wi Fi I even uninstalled it and reinstalled but still says it I see others ate having the same issue so it s clearly the app When you fixed the bugs on the first you forgot one or created one     Ashley Fuller

It s a little tough to find your way around at first because of the small space screen but eventually it works out ok I still have a 19 desktop screen I do most of my work on so to use this app is really only ocassionally I love ancestry research so it doesn t matter what size screen I have to work with super nice that what I ve done on the desktop shows up on the app and vice versa Definitely recommend this app                     Stephanie Pack

This is the single most annoying app I ve EVER installed I signed out of it and now it keeps popping up every couple of minutes asking me to sign in I don t want to f sign in I m trying to get things done on my phone and it just keeps launching a sign in web page over and over and over It s probably done it 10 times in the last 5 minutes I m about to uninstall it     A Google user
