Immediately detected my WD TV live the second I opened the app connected immediately after that and works flawlessly so far design could use a little overhaul however after the official app stopped working with Android pie this is a welcome Thank you for having this out there if there are no issues after using this for a few days going to purchase the ad free version                 Antonio Bille

It was great it did exactly what it was meant to do it was easy and always worked Now the connection lasts 30 seconds and I get a message I must install new firmware on the wdtv to continue He has changed the connection method so i have to put his firmware on the blackbox to use the app and it is not as easy as he says it is I will change back to 5 stars when he changes back the connection method     David Signorio

WD TV remote app does not work on my android marshmallow 6 0 1 phone anymore so gave this a shot instead Realized that I should have been using this all along Much better functionality than WD s app Shows a seeker slider to seek to specific part of file shows file duration etc that the WD app never did Great job by the developers of this app                     Better than WD s app Sudeep Bapat

This is so much better than the official app from western digital It scales better on different size screens orientations there is WAY less lag from input and there are far fewer connectivity problems I would be 120 satisfied if i could figure out how to bring up the app choose per one of the screenshots but i paid for the donate version anyway                 Exponentially better than the official WD remote app Davis Clark

Works well with my updated wd tv unlike official app However the swipe feature to switch between controls sets regularly stops working Would def donate and 5 stars when fixed             Works but has swipe issue Robert Greer

But crashes alot especially when orientation is changed Sometimes take a few refreshes for it to pick up the player I like the ip display give me assurance it is atleast trying to talk to the correct device             Work better than the official one Huy Cheng

After pausing a program I had walked to another room came back and left the remote in the other room I searched google play for an app This came up I installed and ran it Finding the player was simple as a tap on the screen Connected and works very well Awesome app                     Excellent Steven Langdon

It doesn t work with YouTube or my dlna music Bit faster than the wdtv app but not enough difference to make it worth the drawbacks yet Needs better UI as well         I really wanted this to be awesome Jesse Craig

One of the main reasons I would want a remote is to navigate inside the Youtube app and this app unfortunatelly does not deliver 3 stars for at least work with videos and photos             Won t work inside the new Youtube app gen3 Wagner Lopez

I have 5 WDTV Live players on our home network app can t seem to find any of them Other WDTV app sees them but gets confused and randomly loses players Guess it s back to IR remotes     Chris T
