The new JPay app version 13.11.14.04 has been updated on 2014-11-27. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I originally gave the app 5 stars But I have now gone 4 days without being able to receive any emails and all I have been told was to uninstall and reinstall the developer really needs to stop using that as a method of resolution It doesn t work or that it takes about 24 48 before the emails can be received which in my case is not true I get the emails the same day just hours later I have also contacted customer service and was told it would be fixed but it hasn t been Fix this issue     D'Ann Goldwire

I have had no problems with this app Every message I send the recipient gets the very next day or vice versa I ve sent photos through the snap n share and they were received the next day Each email allows you more than enough characters to type your email without having to use more than one stamp I really appreciate this app The only thing that I have had any issue with is when I m trying to buy stamps for the emails I have to put my information in several times before it is accepted                     Gigi Jonjon

Overall the app works fairly decent as far as getting emails but like many others have said getting app notifications saying there s a new message only to open the inbox to find no new messages is beyond disappointing and frustrating to say the least But what s even worse is not being able to send videosgrams especially when there s a special for one stamp videosgrams And yes I have uninstalled u0026 reinstalled the app countless times and contacted JPay several times and still nothing         Martha Jones

I agree with another user The most recent update is disappointing to say the least I am constantly receiving notifications expecting to open my email to read from my loved one only to see there isn t any new mail afterall I get there s a delay but DAYS at a time sometimes A bit much If not for videograms I d delete the app Although I might do it anyway though convenient you pay more then you do going online As if they re not getting enough money as is     Trina McDaniel

I love the app It s very easy to use a fantastic way to stay in contact with your loved ones wish you could still do your payments through it tho it is way better than Connect Network The only thing that has ever been wrong with app has occurred since last update it says you have an email but when you click on the envelope there are no new emails I m sure they will work this bug out very quickly they really do stride to make it easy to stay connected with your loved ones Thank you Jpay                     RTonia Gavel

Having issues with notifications telling me I have a new message at 2am then when I check there are no messages Also not recieving messages on either end This is very frustrating especially when it is one of the only means of communication available to speak with your loved one Uninstalling reinstalling Does not work When paying for messages to be sent I would expect the app to function     C B

The app literally never stopped loading I Opened the app and it started loading and just never stopped I let it load for over half an hour and nothing happens It s not my internet connection because every other app is working fast and without lag I uninstalled and reinstalled and it s still doing nothing It just loads and loads and loads and never takes me to any other screen     Michael Rivera

App works fine for me so far the only thing I find incredibly frustrating is when multiple emails form one message I get half of the message annoyingly usually the second half 2 2 first then have to wait 24hrs or more to get the other half 1 2 sooooo annoying Sadly having emailed support and received no acknowledgement and am currently on day two of waiting for a missing page to appear in my inbox pages 1 3 u0026 3 3 arrived together but 2 3 is still awol really not happy about it         Leona King

Now I get notifications that I have an email and no matter what I do with this app I cannot read the actual email that was sent I am now up to two received emails and have not yet been able to read any of them This app is a joke It takes your money and gives no explanation if the message is rejected and why they continue to keep the funds for a non used stamp when they cant deliver an email Totally unprofessional Support at jpay has already been notified         Autumn Holt

I gave this a 2 star originally now I think maybe a negative 5 I am getting notifications that I have a new message but when I open the app nothing there You Never know if a message you have sent has been opened With todays technology these issues need fixed by the administrators Not the users Are they even reading the reviews I see I am not the only one experiencing these issues Anyone know of any other way to communicate electronically or does this organization have it locked up     A Google user

I love this app It makes communicating with my loved one super easy and i love feeling like im in constant contact with them However since tue July 24th update its been horrible I keep getting email notifications thats i have an email when i first open my app it shows an email notification but when i click to see my emails nothing is there At first i thought it was an app glitch but when i got my phone call today i learned that there should be emails that i never received         Shana Porter

I uninstall u0026 install this at least 5x a day Never get messages within a reasonable time Sometimes 3 7 days late Takes multiple tries to upload videos Sometimes pictures wont upload No it s not my phone Its brand new u0026 one of the best phones out You would think w as much money as this company makes they would hire an offsite team to preview messages instead of having the jail do it That way every single customer would be happy This could be a phenomenal company if it used common sense     Katie Maxey

I d like to say the app is ultimately a blessing to have but I ve encountered a couple of issues First issue is with being charge on 2 different transactions 3 times each So I paid triple for what I paid and that happened twice Secondly I m sometimes able to receive video grams but can t send them also my opinion is that 30 seconds isn t long enough Thanks             Patricia Broughton

It seems to work when it wants to I received an email a month after it was sent Also seems to constantly be loading with the blue page that says jpay and the white circle just goes around and around I have unistalled and reinstalled nothing changed it s still stuck on the loading page Most of thr time I have to log on using the website I downloaded the app to avoid that and to be able to navigate through the system faster and eaiser         Chelsie Bottoms

Like so many others I get email and app notifications that I have new messages but I have none or it doesn t show up for days I correspond with 4 inmates and have not received any messages for 3 days We write every everyday I suppose when you have a monopoly like JPay you don t care if your product actually works     Kenley Osborne

I ve had this account for almost a year and there are times I cant get the app open like this morning There are times when me or my husband dont get emails until 2 or 3 days later I also send in feedback and never hear anything from them I love the fact I can communicate with him but I hate the fact that sometimes emails are not sent             Cnettie Brown

App has several issues problems with pics being to small and blury To spend your money to send the pics and are unable to enjoy then is unacceptable Problems with emails not going thru Problems with video gram not working Needs to be addressed and fixed in a timely fashion We have advanced technology I have never seen a tech support that takes so long to fix issues and I have only been using this site for 1 month         Donna Kisner

I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app MANY times It just buffers when loading and I can never get to the login screen When I call for tech support I m instructed to uninstall and reinstall I ve done this probably 50 times This app worked for me until about 8 months ago I m using a Galaxy S8 I would really like some legitimate help with this     Michelle Banks

Its usually a really nice app Decent quality However ive been receiving notifications and emails stating that i have a new email but never actually getting them Ive tried calling jpay customer service and i ve emailed a few times Still nothing edit Update on this issue Its still happening Ive uninstalled and reinstalled several times and its still not delivering my emails I know i have emails coming in but its not coming thru The notifications are but my emails are not     Lena Swayze

When I first started using the app I really liked it but ever since the last update it has had a lot of problems I keep getting notifications saying that I have an email from JPay and when I open my JPay account there is no new email this has been happening for the last 3 days it is very annoying for this be happening especially if it s the only way that you have the contact an inmate It told me I had 3 or 4 emails n I only got 1 4 days later it s told me I have 2 n haven t received any         tammy summers

This is one of the worst apps I have ever had the displeasure of using It has extensive lag time issues and numerous other bugs when it is functioning at all beyond just opening up to the opening logo screen I cannot imagine that there was much if any quality assurance testing before new builds were released Unfortunately there are no other options competition otherwise the user base would be reduced to near zero Very dissatisfied and frustrated     Ace Boogie

I haven t been able to access the app for months I ve been having to use the browser I just uninstalled and reinstalled it and it will not move from the blue loading screen Whatever update that went on a few months ago needs to be fixed to where the app is accessible Otherwise its wasted space     Amanda Crook

This app isnt the greatest app It constantly sends emails or notifications that there is an email waiting but when I go in to read the email there is nothing This happens several times a week very frustrating I have sent several reports on the issues but nothing seems to happen to fish the problems         rcaimi Caimi

I am agree with another user I am not available to recibe emails for the last couple days and every time said that I have a email and I can t see it I call the customer service and they explain me that they are having some problems but this is a current problem especially weekends I think they have to improve the service becuase we are paying for and is not free And also they have to understand that is the only sometimes to communicate with our families to make sure they are alright Thanks     Devorah Mendoza

I am unable to compose and receive emails on the latest updated JPay app Is there an area I am missing I receive the notifications from the JPay app that I have an email but can t view it anywhere on the actual app I have to go in through the Jpay website and then it doesn t always show that I have a new email until several hours later Help             Betsy Myers

The update on this app is terrible Customer service doesn t respond via phone calls or email Purchases and money transfers aren t showing up on the app or my account but my bank has the transactions withdrawing the funds I need help and can t contact ANYONE I now can t contact my loved one or let him know I ve sent money     Stephany Stephenson
