It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 3.0.0 has been released on 2014-11-27. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. the only reason i have this app is because xfinity hotspots requires it I cant connect to hotspot networks with out the ca certificate here because comcast refuses to tell me what they are using but even then i find that i get kicked from the secure network quite often This app is nothing more than a power and data grab by comcast There is no reason for this app to exist other than to limit control and monitor what you do with your device     Caeman Swartz

First app i have ever hated so much that i wanted to write a review I like the internet speed xfinity provides for my in home use But this app is literally useless Anytime im within reach of an xfinity hotspot i can never sign in it will take me out of the app to the sign in from there will take me out of the web page to tell me to log into the app Its an endless cycle of logging into xfinity for it to tell me i need to sign into xfinity but never actually does anything     Benjamin Miner

All I know is that it works The phone connects automatically to Xfinity wifi almost everywhere I go I don t understand all the settings or why I would should set favorites and I really don t care Like I said THE APP JUST WORKS Regarding the questions below idk if it supports multiple numbers I have it on two phones and two tablets and they all connect just fine Is this app considerate of my time What does that even mean This app keeps my connected wherever I go End of story                 Henry Porvaznik

it sucks it let me log in the first time I downloaded it and it was good for a couple of days and then all of a sudden it started bugging out and saying that I can t login cuz I have the wrong credentials but then I verify my user and pass on the Xfinity website and it lets me use the accountant loginI don t know why that but it just won t let me log in now     Scott Stewart

Complete Waste of Time u0026 Space As long as you can see xfinitywifi in your available wifi networks just click on it This app does nothing It will say connected but no internet connection As a side note xfinitywifi is trash too It is suppose to once connected via wifi to redirect you to the login page from your browser where you enter your user name PW and devise name but never does Page never comes up Endless cycle of useless Comcast pages Don t waste your time or money     Shakeya Tucker

The app does show networks but it misses a bunch too It does not auto connect you to hotspots and if it tries you are required to sign into every single xfinity network you come near and certainly does nothing to manage remembered networks Uninstalling and reinstalling does not change this         Nick Piatek

I just cannot understand how this app is supposed to work It doesn t connect me to hotspots Each time I connect to a new hotspot it sends me to the authorization page I pay xfinity 60 a month and now I cannot even use their WiFi Considering change or cancel my Internet soon     Maria Ivanova

The single hotspot that I need to work never works Every day I get to work hook up to the hotspot then within an hour or two it goes down for most of the day It may pop back in now and then but only for a few minutes before it goes back down Infuriating Note Was up for 2 minutes while I typed this but crashed before I could post Had to wait to post later Grr     Carol Boland

Makes it very easy to auto connect when in town which saves quite a bit on a cellular data plan Greatly improved auto reconnect to safe networks back and forth The big city areas are starting to have a mesh network setup that lets you move from one node to another with little to no effort on your part Very excited to how far this company continues to enrich these entertainment experiences and so much more                     Andrew Scardino

I used to be able to connect to surrounding hotspots with no problem before this new app set up Now I haven t been able to make it work once for me It cycles through the login screens over and over and if I do submit both username u0026 password it tells me to download this app which I already have then cycles back to the login screen what used to be an awesome perk for being a Comcast customer is now only frustration     Kathryn Strait

Sprint customer who has an issue with XfinityWifi through At Bat App As a bus driver I put the bus radio to a station for passengers to hear I use my smartphone to listen to baseball games But I am bombarded with multiple prompts asking to sign into XfinityWifi It also cuts off the volume to where I have to raise it back to my original volume AND it does both of these on scoring plays How do I stop this or is this Xfinity s way of strongarming non Xfininty customers to sign up for Xfinity     Kay Oriz

Frustrating How does this have 4 stars I agree w all of the most recent reviews I thought this app would connect automatically to Xfinity hotspots once you had entered and saved your credentials But noooo I have to perform the most convoluted set of steps to connect Android and hope it stays connected even if I stay in one spot because if it doesn t I have to start all over again This app feels like a curse not a useful blessing p s Surprise Service dropped while I was writing     Brian Bageant

As a current Comcast customer I was very frustrated to be forced to download this app in order to use my Xfinity wifi throughout town when I got a new phone and the worst part is that it doesn t work I didn t have this app on my old phone u0026 was able to access Xfinity wifi practically everywhere I have no Wifi now throughout town and have to rely on data 160 bucks a month later smh     kathy smith

Originally would have given this app 4 plus stars Recently they must have changed something because everytime I have to reenter my credentials It says specifically that if you have this app you would automatically connect but now it is just a waste of space Heck now you can connect to one without this since it seems fyi have no clue if you have it or not     Opetyr

the app is the only way to connect to the secured XFINITY hotspots yet there s no way to do so manually and it s very unreliable i do not understand why there s no certificate download for Android or connection login details made available if the app isn t going to do so automatically this will find you the hotspot locations but you re gonna have to connect to the unsecured xfinitywifi network manually hope you have a good VPN     Brett Chickey

When connecting to an Xfinity hotspot it says you must have this app but the app literally does nothing You can just escape away after logging into your account The app is entirely pointless you can see if there is an Xfinity hotspot just by looking at the list of wifi signals in range The change in trying you force you to download this app came about around the time Xfinity made it 1000 times harder to connect to free wifi because you need to sign in every single time now     Nick Ward

I have a Galaxy Note 9 and cant seem to get this app to work right on this phone I am constantly prompted to sign in and then told that I need to down load this app which I have several times I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still cant sign in on local wifi     Marlon Fox

WORTHLESS I have Xfinity internet I should have access to their wireless networks I am prompted everytime I try to sign in that I need this app I have downloaded this app a few times because of this Unfortunately this app doesn t actually do anything but tell me where the hotspots are I put my info in multiple times and no matter what I am never signed in to a hotspot I am losing money because I can t sign in and I have to use data I pay for versus the free wifi I should have access to     Danielle Martin

it s problematic that it needs to be closed and reopened everyone I m near an XFINITY or xfinity hotspot location it would be nice if it actually install the secure certificates on the phone to log on automatically so it can log on to Xfinity wifi hotspots without the need for having this hotspot locator running all the time it uses unnecessary power in the background which depletes the battery when not needed     Noel St. Jean
