Functional but nothing special Developers would do well to check out modern mobile banking apps such as Revolut to see how far behind the curve this is There was a message about a new version coming but that s not there any longer Guess it ll come one day but not expecting much improvement as far as customer experience or functionality go Would be helpful for there to be more information in Play Store s what s new section than updates and bug fixes well yeah that s pretty much a given but what are they             Marcus Hill

An epic fail The setup process is not fit for purpose I had to scroll through over 600 months one by one to enter my DOB Later on I made one mistake and was expected to start the whole nightmare process again App doesn t support split screen so you need ALL your details written down to register I ve given up until Smile do some proper testing and release a version that is more practical to set up     Mark Wickens

So bad that I m moving all my accounts from Smile This includes 2 current accounts 1 saving account and a credit card Back in the day early 00 s and for a long time Smile were by far the best online banking platform They lost their way quite some time ago and I can t wait for them to get their act together any longer Good luck to anyone trying to use this app it sucks more than a top of the range Dyson     Arman Rotabi

I get that I m probably due a phone upgrade but surely that should be my decision Have been with Smile since they opened but now am forced to either get a new phone mine is Android 5 0 1 or use the website proper just to check my balances Really inconvenient as the old app worked fine if a little buggy from time to time Time to switch banks sadly TSB still works fine on my phone     zombie Bro playz stuff

A million times better than the dreadfully awful HSBC apps I was stuck with using before switching to Smile I like the fact the Smile app is so simple to access and fast to navigate A good example of how a banking app should look and work as far as I am concerned                     Will Woodgate

This app was fine until the latest update There are so many new bugs I can t even login successfully Which means I can t move money around or check my statement If this is meant to be a stopgap while we wait for the launch of the new app we were better off before     Sacha Tomkins

App completely stopped working this morning The new app requiring Android upgrade hasn t arrived yet but the present app has ceased to work I do not want to upgrade Android I think it likely it will degrade performance Other banks are still supporting my phone Why can Smile not provide an app that will work     Barrie Green

I have been using this app ever since it was released and have found it easy to use and very quick and efficient I recently bought a new phone and it took about 30 seconds to install it with easy access to my accounts and a record of all the accounts I had paid money to                     A Google user

I have used this for years with no trouble a bit basic but I can get a balance without logging in to the website which is onerous and overly complicated Today it made me upgrade The new version doesn t work and I ve just wasted an hour Time to move banks     jennie woods

I ve just installed this on a Samsung galaxy tablet and it doesn t even get to the log in screen App which was working on a blackberry sideloaded has now ceased to work am going to have to resort to a pc to do my banking not happy     A Google user

Not sure what they ve done to this app but for the last few days it just hangs for a couple of minutes after you enter the passcode I ll be switching my account as soon as I can get my money out     Gareth Webb
