The Carista OBD2 is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.2 has been released on 2014-11-27. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. The app has no sensor monitors graphing data logging gauges etc which is a huge downside IMO The app is more enthusiast toy than diagnostic tool IMO Their BT adapter works well with the app and is reasonable cost and includes one month of the pay app for free And the adapter works with other Android apps IOS apps Windows apps RESPONSE TO PRIZMOS Sensor monitors go hand in hand with being able to read the ABS VSC etc modules which your app does and many others don t But diagnostics which you claim to be very good at are incomplete without sensor data Case in point your app did find DTCs thrown ECM TCM ABS VSC modules in this case but it turned out those codes were due to an intermittent high voltage condition ONLY FOUND WITH ANOTHER APP SINCE CARISTA DOESN T DO MONITORS The DTCs indicated Speed Control system ECU Traction Computer but the real problem was a bad voltage regulator in the alternator Incorrect diagnosis would have cost thousands in wasted parts and time Hence my rating I do think you have a strong product in the making though If you add diagnostic sensor reads its a five star system all the way IMO             Sam Smith

Really good app It doesn t see my Toyota hybrid battery but does do my TPMS All the other diagnostic info and customisations are available Would have kept the subscription if the hybrid battery could be monitored                     Carl Owen

It s a great idea helping to make your car your own Not as fully featured as obd11 but also less investment upfront Would be nice if an ad supported option like obd 11 was included for those who are subscription shy Has a good few working options for 2019 golf gti but a work in progress                 Ed Wong

can we get oil maintenance required reset for toyota prius In response to the steps to do that my trip button is not working so if I was able to reset it through the app it would keep me paying the yearly fee with carista just for that feature alone By the way I actually am a paying member already but reseting the oil light is a great feature             Topsy Kretts

Scam app forces you to buy their adapter for no reason I have one I bought last year and it isn t compatible even though the car is 7 years old Edit go ahead and explain why your app won t work for a 5 year old car with a 2 year old adapter from a company known for quality hardware like OBD Link is I m using a bt OBDLink MX with current firmware which should definitely cover every base you need it to as far as getting it to talk to my years old Audi     Jordan Sloan

Hi Guys Any update on G30 coding customisation as yet Nearly 4 months have passed Very slow direction in terms of updates BMW G30 5 Series is now out for 2 3 years and yet still no support specifically customisations How long are we expected to wait before a vehicle is released to market and supported Carista is extremely poor in this regard MIGHT eventually be supported one day Purchased a subscription to support you guys ages ago but it looks like a waste of money the more time passes     Umar Akoo

The app is good and seems to do the job HOWEVER it is not worth the subscription fee 53 44 per year It is quite high and outrageous If it was a one time fee it would be fair We understand developers need to make a living but so does everyone else Having said that Carista can charge whatever they like but the market will speak for itself If anyone needs an OBD2 scanning device to look up error codes and pretty much everything else that Carista does go on Amazon and search for Veepeak Bluetooth OBD2 or really any bluetooth OBD2 The Veepak OBD2 on Amazon has a 4 5 star rating with over 40 000 reviews They are great and only costs 15 20 one time Once you have a bluetooth obd drive go on your Playstore Appstore and buy an app like Torque Pro or anything similar for a ONE time payment of 5 In total 20 for life you can use anything you want     Dominic Van

Elm 327 Wifi connected easily 2008 Highlander since original purchase was stuck in active alarm mode Alarm would go off in garage if the door was opened when the doors were not locked I was able to fix using customize menu 9 99 to fix this one issue is awesome from a dyi perspective                     Rodney Bame

Brilliant app Just wanted to ask if u could kindly add the alarm beep function on the app for the bmw e60 e61 u0026 e63 My two cars are a 2006 bmw 535d and a 2009 bmw 635d and this app has everything but the option to activate beep on lock and unlock My friends carly app allows this but not the carista app Seems like such a useful and easy option to have Love the alarm beep feature If you can do something would much appreciate it                 Rishi S

Doesn t work I have an ELM327 Bluetooth interface device that works just fine with OBD Fusion and Dash Command but doesn t work with Carista They want you to buy their adapter What a SCAM EDIT In regards to the reply from Carista I had read that article prior to trying the app Even if an adapter doesn t fully support the standard required by the Carista app it should still access whatever functions it does support Locking it out completely and forcing you to buy a new device is just bad and scammy My review stands until you update the app EDIT 2 It doesn t access those other functions tho The message comes up and nothing else can be done with the app but close it     Jason T

Useless piece of sw It is slow it says it works better with their own paid scanner the hardware but it is useful for nothing unless you pay again every month not just a couple of bucks and even then if you pay it gives you just the codes for you to spend happy time searching around in the web to figure out what is it about     Claudio Parra
