If you are Android owner,you now can download Out Loud for free from Google Play. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. The new Out Loud app version 1.0.7 has been updated on 2014-01-24. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Perfect replacement app since Google assistant no longer is reading text messages out loud This is even better however since you can set it up to start automatically when connected to your car s bluetooth and turn off when disconnected                     Andrew George

I went through a half dozen notification reader apps This is the only one I could find that would only read when my screen is off and I m connected to Bluetooth The only improvement I d make is that the speech speed selector is too limited for some voices and needs to be a sliding bar rather than a 5 option picker                     Scott Albertine

Problems with my new OnePlus 7 Pro causing Out Loud to stop making TTS announcements after about an hour Seems the problems are due to Oxygen s aggressive power saving techniques Had to tell Android not to optimise the battery for Out Loud and had to turn on Out Loud s persistent notification and then minimised it so it didn t keep showing on the lock screen                 Hedgie Hog

I drive with Door Dash so I want texts to be spoken without me having to look away to the phone For the most part this app works flawlessly with one glaring major exception It seems to crash when I have Google maps on the screen Doesn t seem to be problematic with Dash app but google maps cannot coexist with it Need to fix this issue Edit Must have fixed my issue Haven t had an issue in months                     Robert Anthony

I have tried more than a dozen of these apps that read notifications out loud I m using the app to read notifications through my vehicle s head unit through Android Auto This is the only app that I have used that has worked consistently Anybody who is using Android Auto should be using this app                     Ben Baldwin

A very useful application for getting notifications read to you I use it when I m running Perfect for getting telegram notifications You ll need to play around a bit with the custom settings to get the most out of it as not every app gives the most useful information in the default text The only thing I d change is the ability to disable reading out the app name too When my song changes I don t need to be told that the notification is from Spotify                     David Pashley

This app has been a lifesaver when I m out riding my bike I just connect it to my bluetooth speaker and if I m heading somewhere and I get a message saying plans have changed it s easy for me to adjust Anytime someone asks about my speaker I tell them about the app too Blacklists and substitutions make notifications a lot nicer                     Aaron Autrand

The app does what it claims and does it reasonably well The one thing I am not able to figure out is how to make it read out the caller s name when I receive a call When a call is received a notification isnt triggered I presume or am I missing something I was expecting to be notified of the caller s name on receiving a call when I bought the app                 Narayanan Subramaniam
